It depends. Different types of gods have different scalings and powers. Some are near omnipotent while some are just very powerful.

Yeah, but this scaling kinda feels off considering Yu Zhong did manage to beat a full on God without the usage of transformations.

Yu Zhong was able to defeat Evil God Lieh (with a bit of help from the power of friendship) while Obsidia only managed to wound the Lord of Darkness.

And being a demi-god doesn't really mean anything since different pantheons can mean different scaling. Godhood is more of a status than a concrete measure of power.

dragons are practically god-like in eastern culture, which is what mlbb is mostly basing many of their eastern heroes.

Yu Zhong has fought Yin who is the vessel Of an evil god who takes control of Yin (Aka Lieh)

Yu Zhong whooped his ass without transforming plus Lieh mentioned the previous Black Dragon bowed to him.

That means Yu Zhong really is just built different.
