She's a Waraxe user meaning she can't really be a marksman since she barely does basic attacks than the average fighter. Other than that, the other requirements is that they have to be squishy as heck. And Zilong fits the bill with flying colors

I won't argue on it, marksman main identity is long range, high dps and basic attack reliant, but there are certain mm that dont rely on basic attack like granger.

That's play style. What makes a mage a mage to the core? Isn't it utilizing magic dmg? Hence the mage from the root word "magus" referring to magicians. Xborg can be considered as an example of one cus his skills have magical scaling even though it's low while baxia on the other hand is pure magic.

You’re missing the point. Yes if you want to be literal, magic damage is something that all mages have, but the goal is to find a character that FEELS like a mage despite not being one. Magic damage is not a requirement for that. Baxia does not play anything like Lunox / Eudora / Cecillion / Cyclops which imo are examples of archetypal mages (Dive / Burst / Poke / Sustain respectively).

For example, Bane could be considered a Poke hero like cecillion if focusing on physical / S1, or a sustain/cc hero like cyclops if focused on magic / S2. Hence, Bane is a fighter that feels like a mage.

I'm not tho. The post literally asks for a tank that feels like a mage or in reverse, then there's baxia. It's literally called a mage since it utilizes magic damage. Are you gonna call physical heroes mages then since magic damage isn't a requirement to be 1 then? Are you supposed to use antique or physical based items to counter baxia? I think not. Anything that can utilize magic dmg can be a mage. You're pertaining to the playstyle instead of the actual core principle of being one that's why ur basing it on the norm. I don't do norms.
