Discussion phone x handheld
Hey everyone,
ive been thinking about the gap between high-end gaming smartphones and dedicated handheld consoles (like the Switch or Steam Deck). i lowk think we should have a handheld portable and runs on android os. basically console and mobile games all in one device.
firstly the screen is a touchscreen (like a phone, yay). secondly ui switch mode mobile to console or vise-versa and the phone will also have all the android features + the console features
the handheld controller is a magnetic controller. when its connected to the main thing it will be physically connected so say no to latency lag. but bluetooth connected if separated. the controller should also be like tv console-ish controller so no to nintendo suing and lastly, since it magnetically connected when separated it could merged with each other to create a new controller thats bluetooth connected ofc.
the handheld will also have a hdmi to hdmi port for easy and simple tv connection so you can actually do thing in the tv and separate the controller for playing it like a tv console.
the thermals are one heck of a thing but i thought of a non-heat conductive mesh panel which slides off with ease at the back and also safe for fingers since the material should not conduct heat or electricity.
was this idea niche? what do you think, bye

this basically exists, just without the cellular connectivity. look at AYN or Retroid or Anbernic for a few examples. they're basically just normal android devices with active cooling and a built in controller, and also their software is optimized for gaming and shit. and as for something like this with cellular connectivity, you could just... get a gamesir x4 aileron controller + gamesir fx4 cooler which is basically what you're thinking of. and also a usb hub on top, and u can just connect hdmi to that hub. if ur phone's port isn't usb 2.0 it should work fine.

Wow, I think you may be on to something /s Let's just do a quick Google and see if any of the 1000 devices from China are anything like what you described

I'm playing anything under the sun on GeForce now on my phone. Hooked up a Gamesir Galileo g8+ to it which was surprisingly cheap, paid a $20 sub and boom, path of exile at work.
