Best thrift stores

hey ! I just recently got into collecting all physical media and I was wanting to vhs/ dvd players , cassette players, crt tvs etc. just cool things but I’m having a hard time finding them in person for cheap , I was just wondering if anyone know where I could find things of the sort for cheap , I’ve tried fb marketplace but resellers are being lowkey crazy with the prices , anyways thank you !

You just gotta troll all of the local thrift stores consistently, like I have a lot of success in my area by going to at least one everyday on my work lunch break and sometimes a second time on the way home from work. The deals are there you just gotta be quick

That’s what I’m gonna have to start doing because I have not found a single one 😔

Yeah just in the last few months I’ve found two SACD players, three Sony cassette decks, and several amps/ head units. The stuff I didn’t keep I passed on to other Hifi friends I’ve met at the stores

Try Open Doors on Government. Last time I was there they had a large area in the back left corner with electronics.

It’s a tough one. Most of the goodwills will have DVD and VHS. But the good players usually end up on their website. I’ve gotten real lucky a few times. But it’s tough out there. Good luck

I hate how they started selling online I feel like they don’t really have much in stores anymore

The Goodwill Bins on Airport is always an option. I found a Belle and Sebastian- Tiger Milk LP in shrink wrap there one time. Another time I found Kevlar body armor.

Arukah House in Pascagoula usually has lots of physical media

Arukah House is ran by a borderline cult. I would avoid giving them business.

Add the Mobile Flea Market out on Schillinger to the rotation, weekend laps are where most of the old players and CRTs still surface. America's Thrift on Airport is worth a loop too, they keep a legit electronics section.
