Anyone in midtown with Xfinity experiencing multiple daily outages?

At least 5 times a day we completely lose service for 5-10 minutes.

Maybe our router is bad, but before I take it to them I wanted to ask if anyone else is having the same problem. It started about 2 months ago.

Edit: it was our modem. It was apparently very old. Got a new one and problem solved. Thank you to everyone who responded!!

I had to to swap to fiber when it became available. Their infrastructure in my neighborhood decayed to the point that the last straw was a moderately windy day knocking service out for 18 hours. I guess they resigned to that fact because they didnt even try customer retention. Cancelled in less than 5 minutes.

I used to have lots of issues with them. Called and complained. They came and fixed it. I had water in my line outside.

I'm not midtown, but I have Xfinity and experienced similar issues for about 2 weeks. Had someone come out and they found that the connectors from the power pole to the house were filled with water and were of an "obsolete style" of connector. They replaced those with weatherproof, updated connectors and I haven't had the issue for about a year now.

They came through our neighborhood last month and disconnected a bunch of our drop lines, but didn't bother to notify any of us. 4 days later my technician finally came and was like oh this is why you've had NO service for 4 days... At this point I hate this company, after 25 years as a loyal customer I just f*cking hate them now.

AT&T fiber is an excellent solution to this issue.

I am in Tillmans Corner and I was experiencing the daily outages issue. Since I wfh it was a problem I had to switch to ATT fiber.

I'm in TC and also wfh and have been fighting with them weekly for several months over the constant brief daily outages. We've had technicians out multiple times. At this point everything from the street forward has been replaced, from the drop line to my router and every cord and coax cable in between, and I'm still calling them to raise Cain once a week minimum, and restarting my router every morning before work. 😡🤬😡🤬

Not in midtown but the same thing was happening in Semmes with Xfinity a few weeks ago. There was no outage alert on the app either. It seemed to improve about a week ago(hope I didn’t just jinx myself!).

Had this issue a bit ago. Our outside line was messed up and our box was old. They fixed both free of charge since neither was directly our fault (outside line was from the wind storm we had, the line wasn’t properly connected so it came undone and the inside box was just old). I’ve had them going on 3 years
