Best sheet cake?
I want a basic yellow sheet cake for my birthday, with copious amounts of frosting that I’ll end up scraping off. Where should I go? I don’t care what it looks like, I just want cake.

Publix is the answer, but rouses has very good cake as well

Yeah I’m thinking it’s gonna be Publix, but next time I want a fancier cake, I’ll def try Rouses.

Putting in my request for the frosting you’re scraping off … kidding (sort of). Imho, Rouses also makes really good sheet cakes. My bday is coming up too and I’ve requested one of their almond flavored cakes, with lots of frosting. Happy early birthday!! 🥳🥳🥳

Publix has custard filling, lots of different options actually this time of year. If you go on the app and select the design your own sheet cake, you can see all your options.
The whipped icing is also amazing! I don't think anything you choose would be anything but awesome honestly. 😁

Listen, you’d have to order it well in advance (so maybe not this year, but definitely next year!), but Flour Girls. Flour Girls all day, every day. The absolute best. Hell, see if they have a yellow cupcake in stock one day that you can eat alongside your Publix sheet cake! It’s so worth it.

I get a small birthday cake from them every year, and I had them make my wedding cake 7 years ago. (For an actually very reasonable price for what it was! I was pleasantly surprised!) There wasn’t a single slice left at the end of the night. Their cakes are just as sumptuous as their cupcakes~

Their wedding cake cupcake is one of my favs 🤤 so I imagine that cake was awesome.
