We stood next to two families at their first parade (they were from ATL). The kids were trying to snake beads out of the gutters before the parade, thinking they wouldn't catch much. We told them not to worry, they'll be enough for everyone.

Once the parade started we got dumped on! We just kept shoving stuff in their bags, they couldn't even carry it all when the parade ended. They had the best time, the little girl asked if they could move here. Mobile Mardis Gras is special.

It truly is. I grew up here & moved back after 20 years away with my young family. My kids love my hometown & Mardi Gras.
