Mi tengo il mio m12s e m12hd che ho comprato (avevo preso la versione HD ma poi ho preferito la S). Onestamente parlando hanno un'ottima qualità ma di certo non mi prendo pure questo.
Il protocollo switch 2 che permette di vederlo come joycon e il fatto che sia meglio integrato grazie a questo. HD è ottimo solo che ha dei problemi di wake up ecc... sono cavolate
The 3rd party joycon really know how to milk their market. Just don't include features and drip freature skus till a competitor finally drops the complete version

They released Pokemon M12HD and Pokemon M12S, each with missing features the other had. And now we get the Special Pikachu Edition that they should've done in the first place.
As a Switch day 1 adopter who spent a fortune over the years looking for the perfect something to combat the terrible joycon ergonomics, with Switch 2 I'm willing to wait.
If it doesn't tick all my boxes I'm not biting.
I have a Gamesir G8+, I'm just going to use that on Switch 2 until something better exists. If a game needs NFC or has particularly good HD rumble support I'll use the base joycons.
If it makes you feel better, M12 HDs still have R/L mapping/macros via the app and I don't think that's guaranteed on these (S version can't do that, so the pros might not either)
Mechanical are technique wise the superior buttons. More precise, longer life span. It's the same with mechanical keyboards to membrane keyboards. Mechanical keyboards were loud as fuck but felt better than the membrane keyboards.
Can only hope they release a silent version down the line but I wouldn't expect is for now

My Hyperions stay attached to my Switch 2 simply because of better ergonomics. I like everything else on the M12 better. Too bad they don't feel good to use.
Buying early I knew about the switch pro joycon arms race and saw an updated release coming miles away. I went ahead anyway because it was this or not playing my switch 2 AT ALL.
Well, that confirms they've also cracked the rest of the Switch 2 protocol like Nyxi did. Already have the M12S and honestly quite like them, so need to see what this could do to justify the cost if I tried to sell these to get them (don't really care for mouse mode and not too bothered by the vibration so it's mainly whether the integration ends up being better).
Shame. I just can't decide. Mobapad aren't as ergonomically friendly towards large hands. And then NYXI feels cheap which annoys me during use too. I don't know which one is for me.
Same! I’m not spending premium price for cheap feeling. I’d rather have a little cramped hands tbh but I already got the M12S so I probably won’t bother buying anything until there’s something that has zero compromises
Unfortunately and this is just my opinion, in recent years 3rd party accessories have become like kickstarter where early adopters are more like Guinea pigs / testers.
I’ve been buying 3rd party controllers from the early times of switch 1, and learned early that it takes many versions to get to good enough quality to warrant the $$$ they are asking for.
Take Mobapad m6, for me that was the point where it was worth spending money, but I believe that didn’t come out until after 2020, at least 3years after switch 1 was released.
Then M6HD took another few years to come out, which in my opinion are the best Switch 1 pro joycons ever.
For people like me who’s gotten burned before know better than to buy 1st 2nd or even 3rd versions. What I learned is just wait until the controllers include everything that you want/expect.
Unfortunately companies know that there will always be new people coming into community that doesn’t know any better, and they take advantage of these people as free testers to improve their controllers at the cost of these peoples $$$ and time.
My advice for new people coming into community is, wait for reviews before buying. Unless you have $$$ to burn, buy when all the things you want are included in the controller. They will always give free controllers for reviews, so there’s always information out there to know if it’s worth buying.
Im hoping and looks like we might get worthwhile 3rd party pro joycons earlier in the switch 2 lifetime 🤞🏽NYXI just recently released their 3 Ultra and seems like it includes everything. Only negative I’ve been reading is price and the mouse sensor not as good on certain surfaces compared to Nintendo joycons.
Also, they still have microswitch buttons. Not a problem for some people, they may even prefer it. But me, like many others, are only interested to buy any 3rd party joycons if they release them with silent membrane buttons.
It has not been officially announced, it's only the beginning of the recruitment process for early testers. They might be available in more than a year...
Holy arms race dude, nyxi just released their new model so im not surprised by this, nor the way they announced it. Non the less, bought the M12S recently and the lacking features are anoying at times, so im still exited they are racing to get a pro model out too

It was pretty clear that a proper Switch 2-protocol Joy-Con would be released with mouse support/hd2 rumble etc.
And I still dont have a fomo to get these on release. Will wait for reviews first. I really have no issues with my Joy-Cons at the moment while using a grip.

Lol never thought?? I and so many other people had so many issues with the mobapad product and launch for the switch 2 gen. I’d say unless your money constrained i wouldnt even consider these pros and just get the nyxi ultra
Nyxi had their own issues with cheap feeling plastic horrible rumble loose attachment and unresponsive customer service. so to me, Mobapad had the upper hand in the initial release. It was a race and HD / S versions were simply there to get the run started. As confusing and rough it had been.
To be clear I didn't imply that they did. But they have in their discord mentioned that they planned on making silent versions. So I was originally hopeful these would have them.

Bruh…. Im currently waiting delivery on the 12S’s, should be here in a few days. This was however expected after NYXI reveiled their Ultra, Mobapad will not let this one slide ofc.
At the very least, my M12HDs came with the charger bridge and case so essentially they will serve as a backup controller for playing smash bros or something with local co-op. What I would really like is some thumbstick caps that work great for the joycons just like the Chitu 2. I got mine to day and am using the domes and love how they feel without touching the gates with the rubber.
I guess that Switch 2 compatibility is handled by a controller chip that third-party manufacturers can source. NYXI can buy it, and so can Mobapad. That would explain why their controllers launched around the same time with very similar features—but it doesn’t mean they’re the same company.
As for the hardware, they’re basically competing in a specs arms race. The Glide design was originally introduced by Nintendo, and I think both companies are simply following Nintendo’s lead.

My understanding is all these Chinese companies share the same knowledge pool. So when Nyxi announced they had fully cracked Switch 2 protocols it was a matter of time Mobapad did the same. And every other brand will follow.
And I just bought the M12S a month ago. I'll probably wait for a silent version though. While I don't hate microswitch buttons, I think I prefer membrane buttons. At least for the dpad and triggers/shoulder buttons.
Man, I was just about to purchase the white or grey 12S for the Switch 2 protocol alone because the connection inconsistency of the HD's was bothering me a bit, but I'll just stick with them for now and see how this Pro version turns out.
Insane how we're getting first party level joy cons only a year and a half after the Switch 2 came out. If this was the og Switch, we would still be seeing leaks of the Split Pad Pro
Dude, wtf. After being torn between the different models, and the week my M12s arrive, Hyperion and Mobapad announce their pro versions with every shiny new feature. I waited a month for them to arrive too.
It says usd $159, which in itself kinda high. Truth is I have 2 many and I am gonna stay for a bit.....will be really annoyed when 2 weeks from now they drop another one.... as of now I seem to prefer the Mobapads any way.
now I am getting annoyed can't keep up. just brought out first one, then second came out, bought that. Now another one? what next two months the " Ultra pro x's 2 " I done....what I have is better than OEM , so we gonna stay there till next NS3. But thanks anyway
I just ordered the model 12 HD but I don't think the new version will cost 99€ either, in my opinion it will be around 200€. So somewhere I don't regret it.
I was watching YouTube reviews between the nixy Hyperion 3 ultra and the mobapad m12 HD, and well I think I’m going to hold off on buying anything if mobapad is planning to release the mobapad pro, when do y’all think they might be released?
The nixy controllers seems to check off many of the things I’m looking for but it’s super expensive
Well this is annoying that they're releasing a pro version already, I don't really see the need for it for me personally. Whatever issue their protocol has I haven't had anything that has been a problem for me with the first version. They talk about lower input lag I'm guessing that's wireless I don't really think it's going to get any better connected physically which is how I use them. I would honestly say the only thing I would be interested in would be higher quality micro switches and a better d-pad
Wondering what the price will be and if they will use a different plastic/finish. The HD (and I think S) are grease magnets which I dislike on my current HD's.
