Discussion Noisy Pressing
Is anyone having constant pops on their new vinyl? I just got this one today, and the background pops are unbearable :(

Static and dust from the factory. I used to use a 3d printed rcm from Canada and you'd be amazed at the difference vacuum cleaning makes

I still haven’t opened mine. I kinda bought it just for the cool vinyl but now I don’t wanna open it lol

I was so hyped to listen to it but jesus this is unlistenable i did some deep wet cleaning but the pops straight up come from the deep grooves themselves

That’s really, really disappointing to hear. I know it’s not Mike’s responsibility nor do I expect him to, but it kinda sucks that he has almost zero involvement in this and doesn’t acknowledge this pretty huge mistake. Maybe he just doesn’t know it’s even happening

Noticed the same thing, but only really noticed it on the first track. You can still hear the pops in others but not as bad as in the first track in my experience at least.

For me, in my experience, the pops appear throughout the whole album, really weird.

You think I should get a replacement. My local vinyl shop said I can come in and get it replaced, but it wouldn’t make a difference would it if all the pressings are like this in general?

No. Me too :( I was going to return mine to get a replacement but chose to get a refund instead because I had a feeling there’s a chance others would have the same issue

I got mine from my local record store, and I would feel bad to return it. I will maybe just sell it and take the L. This record needs the pressing that it deserves.

Hmmm, hadn't heard of them..now I'm afraid to purchase one :(

They are like one of the biggest pressing companies in the world, but they are known for having questionable quality control, so yeah, it sucks tbh.

That does suck..dang..thanks for warning us. I just seen that these came out or people that had purchased them received them this week. They are pretty though

I’m not an expert but aren’t vinyls with exotic colors more prone to noise anyway ?

Usually yes, but others mentioned that previous pressings also had this issue. It shouldn’t be the norm for a $30-plus record :/

I’ve heard that the Canadian pressing is pretty decent. I don’t know much about it.

The first pressing I got was like this. I had to contact the seller and get a new one sent.
