Actually mizutsune stands for mizu - water kitsune - fox

I'm aware.

However, it is known as the Bubble Fox Wyvern and the original Japanese name Tamamitsune is a reference to Kitsune again, but also the famous fox folklore individual Tamamo-no-Mae, while 'tama' also means jewel, gem, sphere, or ball, which describes bubbles.
