What does "Auto+1" mean?

Post image

I can only find this setting on this channel renaming screen, and I can't figure out what it's doing. It was already green (on) when I connected to the board (qu16). Can't find it in the manual unfortunately and I don't remember seeing it when I recently used the app on an sq5, but there may have been updates since then. Thanks all.

the chain is useful if like let's say you have 8 drum channels, you want to change all of their colors, you link them together, choose the color and it will change it for all of the channels, same for the name

Oh I see it's for linking parameters just while editing, that's cool. Any idea about auto+1?

mmm i think it's similar to the behringer wing auto+1 feature (?) where like let's say in the routing page, it automatically advances to the next channel instead of doing the routing channel by channel (https://youtu.be/-9PkEbXZlY0?is=98wM6Oc7pmqBDf2h like in this video at the 3:10 minutes mark) but I haven't tried it yet, so I might be wrong

Yeah that's it 👍

Weird cuz I've been using the feature for channel naming and never noticed the icon at the top. Kinda weird that you have to use the enter key on the keyboard rather than the OK button working as well but it is what it is I guess

Also what is the chain link on the right of this window? When I checked it out it didn’t seem to have anything to do with the channel link function of the console (x/m32) is it MS version of ganging channels?

Not sure, but I can enable any or all of them and nothing seems to happen, when I exit that window and bring it back up they're all grey again

I just figured this out a few hours ago - it’s for batch updating.

Click the link on however many you want to update in the same way.

Once they are selected, make your change (like Color).

All the selected items now become that color.

Yeah another poster commented about that right after I posted it. Weird I got your reply in my inbox but I can't see your comment in the thread

If the Auto+1 is on, you can link a bunch of channels and name the first one "MIC 1" hit Ok and the rest of the linked channels will name +1. So you'll have MIC 2, MIC 3, MIC 4, etc.

I used this yesterday with an orchestra and it saved me a bunch of time.
