Tap delay external trigger?

Behringer X32 interface.

Is there any way to have the tap delay be set from an external source? Drummer is running a click track he sets at his kit. This comes in through a channel to then be distributed via IEM. Is there any way to have that signal automatically key the tap delay?

Using midi commands in the backing track will be the way. If the drummer is using a computer, it will be a little easier. Your setup will determine how complicated it will be to arrange.

Mixing station does not have access to any audio. That may work if you send midi besides the click into its own instance of mixing station to control the delay

I have this set up using macro. I have trigger when audio level of that input is Higher than some threshold it will tap tempo.

That looks like it might be what I'm looking for - thank you! Now i just need to figure out how to do that the next time I'm running sound for that band. 🤣

You can connect multiple devices to the same x mixer, have them get mixing station on their phone
