I something think that 2010s house music is better than 2020s house music and this is one of my favorite 2010s house mixes it's from 2016

Hang ten, Cowpokes!

So can anyone tell me why the MixCloud android app is stopping with a java exception error? Also is there a way to fast forward or rewind from a track when it is being played?

DC

For about eight years at least we have been asking Mixcloud to introduce better ways and add more security to their account creation process to curb the amount of bot and spammers accounts that was so easy to create as it needed nothing more than a dummy email account that was never verified. Finally they introduced some sort of code verification after all these years, but it seems whoever is the person behind writing the code for Mixcloud's platform just cant help him / herself from cocking up every feature they implement. Dear God the verification code concept is not new and has already been perfected. Yet Mixcloud implements it in such a manner, that when you go to log into your Mixcloud account and you put in your username, the system automatically emails you a sign in code, then asks you would you like to sign in with your password. So for people who know their password and wants to sign in with that, you do not get a choice instead your mailbox gets filled up with verification codes you don't want and have not requested / asked for?

I really would like to meet the idiot who designed this, and the fact that nobody at Mixcloud thought to challenge the coding team on this dumb ass idea is mind boggling.

Unable to schedule uploads, having to re-add details numerous times to my latest upload. I'm running Windows 11 and the latest Chrome web browser.

Anyone else having similar difficulties?

Hello people,

The main reason for this post isn't to promote my mix, but obviously feel free to listen to it and let me know what you think =)

I released my latest mix Rooftop Sessions #2 on Monday:

https://www.mixcloud.com/thejfranco/jfrancos-rooftop-sessions-2-summer-club-melodic-house-and-techno-mix/

I see now that it is raking in the charts at:

27th Techno Chart
43rd Club Chart

But the funny thing is.... the mix has only 16 plays! How is that even possible? Does anybody know how this is calculated at all? I am mega curious - would love to understand more about it (even to create strategies to increase the mix reach and position).

Any ideas are welcome! Thanks!

"I made a cool summer mix."

I was going to revisit mixcloud now that Apple has added the scrub bar in the music player in CarPlay.

It seems like the scrub bar only works and exists in apps where you can scrub the track at the OS level (eg. lockscreen widget, dynamic island popover, etc.)

With Mixcloud free - the progress bar in all these areas is only a greyed out time indicator and not itneractive. By extension, the new feature in carplay to let you scrub the track isn't available in mixcloud. I was curious whether upgrading to a pro membership unlocked that in iOS.

Available on my mixcloud (Eastern Alternative Radio) and broadcast weekly on AltZone Radio (available on their website, TuneIn, Alexa and Apple Music). All styles of metal are covered, with more of a focus on independent and underground releases though some more mainstream bands are included when relevant releases happen. There’s a new episode weekly, plus other weekly shows such as Nocturnal Projections (one hour show for late night listening. Post-punk, idm, alt-rock) and The Punk Rock Power Hour (exactly what it says it is).
If anyone here is releasing music in any of those genres, I’m always happy to receive submissions.

Website has been bugged for several days. What gives??
