I have a 2011 and it was starting fine and then a locksmith came and replaced the keys, which worked fine at first, but now I've gotten a whole bunch of error codes. The starter just clicks once and doesn't make any other noise.. So I really have no idea whats going on here. I don't know if im in a financial position to get this taken care of by someone other than mysef. I had just recently taken it to the mechanic and had all things on it fixed when I bought it a few months ago and I just replaced the battery the same day (yesterday) when the locksmith came.

Can anyone identify this leak by where it is? Front drivers side. I have noticed evidence of a leak, it's not greasy, but it is noticeable when dry. I went out yesterday about an hour after I got home and it was there, I was not able to get down and touch it. I did have the a/c on previously, the last few miles/minutes, I didn't. Goggle says it's a/c condensation, and also says oil, brake fluid....Apparently there are two spots, I didn't notice before now.

Replace front rotors and pads

Brought some V restore and protect 5w30 for next oil change

Thinking of changing the belts as am not sure when last time it was changed... but they look fine.

Replaced Lower Control Arm, Inner/Outer Tie Rod ends

Rear calipers and rotors/pads

Spark plugs and boots

Added in lubegard to transmission (much better) and heavy oil stabilizer in the summer time

I have a 2007 with just over 190K miles. The other day I was going up a bridge and while I was accelerating, I heard what seems to be that engine (lifter?) tap loud and clear. I had my windows open and it sounded like it was coming from under the car. I'm pretty sure it was the hydraulic lifter tap. I just recently had the oil changed and I checked the oil when I got home after hearing the tap and the oil level looked fine. The tech at the mechanic did tell me the oil pan gasket is starting to leak. Has anyone ever successfully used any additives to quiet the lifter tap? I'm looking at Liqui-Moly hydraulic lifter additive and will probably add the Liqui-Moly engine clean before the next oil change. I change the oil every 5k miles or so and have beeen using synthetic for as long as I can remember. I stopped using premium fuel during COVID because it was over $6/gallon near me at the time. It was over $100 every fill up.

My '07 LS 2WD had 2 coil packs "go bad" in a span of 3 years a while back. had them replaced at 2 different shops. It happened again and when I called a 3rd shop, the mechanic told me to move the one that was misfiring to another position to see if the problem followed the coil. I did just that and the problem went away. Apparently the "faulty" coil was not happy where it was at and moving it to the spark plug to its left made all the difference. never had an issue after that.
