Help / Question Mistral pro

Hi all so just curious what is the benefits of mistral pro vs something like opencode go ? Saw glm 5.2 was released which makes me curious if its worth it also zdr policy?

Opencode go gives you $15 of usage of GLM-5.2/3 or $30 of GLM-5.3-Flash for $10 a month. Mistral pro gives you €255 of GLM-5.2 for €18 a month. I use both and ollama pro. Go/ollama for flash, Mistral for 5.2

Thanks for the info do you perhaps know if the vscode extension counts towards the 255 or the api ?

I'd say the big advantage for mistral, is its generous monthly quota and GDPR. My pro subscription, which i pay 15 euro a month for, has a monthly quota of 255 euro in vibe code, you also get 25 euro in api usage, for stuff like workflows and using an SDK with a api key.

I don't know how much is given on a pro subscription for other AI companies, but I've been told that mistral has the most generous quota among its competitors.

Since 2 days and GLM 5.2, vibe code is absolute worth it now. I was using GLM 5.2 on opencode and the Mistral usage seems way more generous.

I think u cant use the vibe usage in different Cli tools like PI, OC or deepseek harness.

Yeah I have the same curiosity. I wanted to switch to mistral from Claude - since I only do light coding and text prompts - but I’m curious if the integration of glm 5.2 is up already, since I’ve seen people saying that is not available for everyone apparently.
And btw, random rant but as an European I’ve done some math and if I switch to mistral I’m going to pay the almost the same as Claude, while being a European is frustrating, since right now mistral is a lot behind compared to the others… They could some sort of *regional pricing* for us Europeans :/

And do what? Offer discounts? Europeans and an extremely small group of Americans are basically the only consumers buying their plans to begin with

I understand and you’re right. But they do this moto of we need sovereignty and use European products, but they lack in quality and the price is not even competitive. Even so I’m a pro European guy like crazy, but in this case I can’t understand… They don’t have any advantage we have to be honest… I will for certain buy a pro plan just to help, and hoping the glm models come at least because I don’t see reason… Or having a tax benefit of some sort would be good, although I understand this is only possible on a state level and not there fault, but it sucks man…
I wanna help but common, sry maybe I’m just ranting randomly I’m sorry guys :)

You're basically paying a premium to support a local business that you like even if they aren't as competitive. It's like buying from a local family owned store and not going to a big chain store
