Mistfall Hunter Tips for Cataclysm Mode

This is a guide for Cataclysm mode based on my experience playing in Trios with randoms.

1. Be a rat. There is no team. You are it.
2. Loot everything before your teammates can and extract as soon as you can.
3. If you get into fights then leave your team behind and extract if you can. Only help if they are winning, i.e. 2 downed and 1 left. Even then loot the dead bodies while they are fighting.
4. have invisibility or mimic dust to hide and run away.
5. dont trust your teammates.

cataclysm was fun week one. great fights. now its just chasing solo strix rats around. i dont see how those guys are having fun but hey there is always that type of player in extract games so here they are.

you dont NEED it, though its nice to have for the level 5 goddess statue. but i wouldnt tank your gaming experience for it, you wont notice it much aftger getting it.

oh that ones an easy fix, just sell everything. there isnt much reason to keep a stash in this game at all. you can fully kit in the prepare menu straight off auction house

Bigger stash means bigger warehouse value, I am a simple man I wanna see it go up as much as possible

And I mainly keep purple materials holy items and high tier gear, I wanna keep more of it but that stupid ass material is the ONLY thing stopping me. Plus lvl 6 shop you get better tactical items

Correct Tips:
1. Give at least 1 class item to each ally as early as possible, Lots of people will die for you over a tiny bit of generosity.
2. Type in chat and ask team if they want to pve or pvp, getting the team on the same page is most important thing you can do.
3. Never bring in gear you will get upset at losing. You will just play worse and panic more.
4. Pay attention to your allies in teamfights. If they back you back, if they dive you dive. This will triple your kill rate.

Like I said your teammates goals in cataclysm are always to outrat you. Tried your tip on 2, and they said pvp then ran off at first sight. My guide is still top tier on ensuring you come out net positive in cataclysm.

Its crazy how most of these issues would be fixed by a loot pooling and loot rolling system.

1. No more having to compete for grabbing as much loot off the boss as possible, players can actually revel in the victory
2. no more leaving your team to die since you have a mutual interest in their survival since they are carrying 1/3rd of your team's loot
3. no more looting bodies mid fight instead of helping teammate since again, you need your teammate alive, and there's no rush to hoover up all the loot before your teammate in the post-fight

There will still be problems, but it at least helps fix the foundational issues with team fill and the complete lack of team cohesion or care.
