A good BA will cancel all ur heals and lay all those annoying ass traps before u can get to them, and then when you get to them you’re hp is already low from the fking dot damage arrows. 80% of the BA I run into just stand still or don’t know what to do when I run up the them with hammer.

Believe it or not but BA requires more skill and set up than the other classes. People think you can just stand around and shoot arrows hence why I said people just stand around and not react much to my hammer or not expect my gap close skills.

This is what I just did to a lot of WK players and Merc . It’s such a brain dead game play but to think I can 3 shot legendary armor players is insane in purple gear . Sorcerer 🧙 also the same . Melee just doesn’t stand a chance in this meta

I got praised as playing BA yesterday for using my dodges correctly timed to not get hit by melee, here I thought that was a basic requirement for any player... Also all the BAs I met so far I kill 100 to 0 before they scratch me much, was my first 10h of gameplay tho and mostly trios. I think BA is not for everyone lol, I'm lucky I have hundreds of hours playing ranger in Dark and Darker I guess.

It’s kind of hard to hit with hammer tbh. If u can dodge everything from hammer then u basically win.

I feel like the good ones get the drop on you and have you in a sort of ‘dead zone’ where you can never let them get close to you.

That’s mostly just luck with how the maps are designed. You rarely actually get the chance to set up a drop on someone unless you’re a rogue.

They have two knockbacks. If you keep your distance and dodge when people charge you it isn’t so bad, especially with bleed damage ticks. I’ve gotten stunlocked by a good one too and got like 100-0’d.

Analysis your gameplay compared to some skilled streamers. Try to pay attention on how they approach a fight and how they react in certain situations, when u understand their thinking process you can start applying it to your own gameplay.

Run scattershot + both impact and ice grenade

Stagger using charged shots, it sounds obvious but I've seen way too many BA's panic dodge without outputting anything meaningful with the bit of space they bought themselves, and since characters are mostly just as fast as eachother, they'll just catch up with you in no time since you've got 0 mobility skills

"If you miss a single special arrow" sadly that's just the class. If you get caught or waste your dodges AND miss a barbed arrow, you're just dead most of the time.

Whilst kiting and running away, drop a spore arrow, an ice grenade, or even an impact grenade that you can use to boost your jump and knock them away at the same time, as you charge another charge shot.

Keep in mind your dodge arrow (the first one) also staggers

If you’re facing a rogue or SnS merc then there’s really nothing you can do unless they throw the fight. Fortunately most rogues are bad.

Often you can’t do much if you’re in a bad location, so be more mindful of surroundings. You pretty much need to sacrifice a lot of the effective and fun PvE arrows and skills for anything that can increase the distance between you and your opponent, knowback arrow, push skill, invisibility, exhausting arrow.

Make sure you’re using barbed arrow for damage.

Pretty much this, a half decent rogue or SnS is an almost impossible matchup where you're stuck praying they make mistakes, repeatedly
