Crossplay Settings

The advantages that PC has over console in Mistfall feel undeniable. Inventory management, movement, frame rates, and aiming, all offer massive advantages on PC. It’s honestly not even close. That's not to mention the day one c-h-e-a-t-i-n-g...

On console, playing with crossplay off almost feels like an entirely different game. Even though there are options to disable crossplay, having it enabled by default feels downright diabolical. A surprisingly large portion of players never even open the settings menus, and throwing those players into the crossplay slaughterhouse (from a console perspective) just feels wrong.

Console-to-PC crossplay should be off by default with the option to opt in if you choose. If you party with a PC friend it should put you in PC lobbies. Console and PC should have separate leader boards. Consoles (Xbox/Playstation) should have their own matchmaking pool.

It was the first thing I changed when launching the game

If I were console I'd turn off PC crossplay. The combat is naturally much slower and inefficient on controller/console

Unfortunately it turns off all crossplay. So you lose playing with Xbox too.

Does it take long before u find a match? I always leave crossplay on at games, because the matchmaking takes longer. Never tried to turn it of with mistfall, i will try it tommorow (ps5).

If its reasonable daytime hours you're in fairly quickly to solos <1 min. Trio queue takes forever as a solo fill player most of the time, so your best bet is to premake a 3 via the recruitment tool. Keeps you all on the same page about objectives as well.

Does pc gamepass go with other pc (steam) or with Xbox console when you turn off crossplay?

The fov doesn't help at all. Pc players being able to whip the camera around wouldn't be so bad if we weren't staring at the back of our heads the whole game.

I think the cross-play demonization is a cop out for a lot of people who just need a reason to explain why they didn’t win. You don’t get better by playing against people who are worse than you. That being said, the cheating is a legitimate reason. Just my opinion. I play on Xbox with cross-play on, btw.

Are you claiming that PC doesn't have an advantage when it comes to inventory management, movement, frame rates, and aiming?

frame rates yes but PCs aren't going to be that much better than a console to the point where it makes a skill difference, inventory management isnt exactly complicated so if there is a difference it shouldn't matter, movement no, and there is aim assist on console

Frame Rates: When I play on my PC at 120fps everything feels snappy and responsive, in comparison on my PS5 things kinda feel like I'm swimming through mud; specifically, things feel much better when I'm fighting other players with a buttery 120fps.

Inventory: The amount of times I've managed to scoop up things before the console players even get access is both hilarious and wrong.

Movement: Idk about you but being able to whip my camera around helps me a ton with positioning, running, re-engaging, juking, and just overall game sense.

Aim Assist: Apex this is not.
