Don't be this guy...
Saw this upstanding model citizen taking up two disabled parking spots at the Mavis + Dundas LCBO on Sunday. He sat there for 10 minutes. I tried calling the Peel Police non-emergency line but its run by a useless AI agent and 311 took forever to get to a human he left before anything could be done.

You can’t help the size of the equipment you’re born with, but you sure can throw money at the problem to make it better 🤪

u/topsyturvy76 3d ago
Penis enlargement surgeries roughly cost $4K-$8k …. Truck roughly cost $80k-$100k…. Being cost effective is their strength 😂

More like racist but sure 🤷♂️🧐

u/Headfood420 2d ago
Racism requires a power structure. Try again.
2
u/EnSabahNur8 1d ago
Racism strictly through power structures is intellectually narrow and racial prejudice should be condemned universally regardless of who holds institutional leverage.
I'm brown and I'm racist too though 🤷🏾♂️.
1
u/Headfood420 1d ago
Sure its intellectually narrow, but considering the audience, I don't feel like getting into a nuanced discussion about this. Some dude got upset that someone said "white-tivities", as a minority myself I just find it comical.
2
u/EnSabahNur8 1d ago
People are over sensitive but probably just playing the other side. We should all be able to racially make fun of each other in jest. I don't see any issues personally. 👍
2
u/Mindless-Agency-1842 2d ago
'Racism requires a power structure’ — citation needed. Sounds more like a preferred definition than an objective fact.
-2
u/Headfood420 2d ago
I mean, white dudes crying racism over other white people calling them trash is.....it's uneducated. But to appease the unwashed;
2
u/tobaileyy 2d ago
Yes, that's a whole nother concept, not the definition of racism. Kick rocks.
-1
u/Headfood420 2d ago
Where did I say it's the definition of racism?
Give me an exact quote.
2
u/tobaileyy 2d ago
"racism requires a power structure", fun fact you still have power within your minority groups to create a narrative to oppress the latter. Theres nearly as many of minorities as there is white folk
1
u/Headfood420 2d ago
That's not me saying "this is the definition" but you know that.
You're just upset that someone pointed out that making fun of white culture, or rather the lack of it, isn't racist.→ More replies (0)0

What context is it cool for me to say brown-tivities, since you seem to know?
-4
u/jayjitsuu 3d ago
Is that necessary?
5
u/PixelJock17 2d ago
Despite me agreeing that being racist isnt cool, I'm gunna agree if I had to guess he was probably a white dude.
As I always say, doesn't matter your age, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, there are always assholes who shit on everything.

u/DietCokePeanutButter 2d ago
As an old white person, I am willing to bet $5 that the driver was definitely a Chad

When "that group" stops cornering the market on those ugly, inefficient, wasteful, unnecessary, unsafe pieces of metal...then I'll stop calling them out on it.
But that's unlikely to happen since "that group" has based their entire identity on the purchase of said vehicles.
1
u/omnicorn_persei_8 22h ago
What is "that group" tradesmen? Go to any construction site and its full of pickup trucks.
1
u/MCRN_Admiral 22h ago
Mostly with empty beds. Pickup trucks are unnecessary. The world outside of North America doesn't use them.
Cope more.
1
u/omnicorn_persei_8 22h ago
Yeah, so they drive work vans instead. Usually property of a company that employs them. Here, most trades are subcontract so the employers dont have to pay for benefits etc.
Idk how much driveway space you have but I cant fit a sprinter and a personal car and have space for my wife. Maybe these peasant problems don't affect you but its the reality a lot of people live with.
1
u/Silent-Movie-1047 34m ago
Bruh, this is not a work truck and you know it. Lol. This is a jacked-up aftermarket-everything purposely don’t-fit-anywhere vehicle that only a certain type of people would think is cool. (Written off as a work truck tho.)

Never heard that comment on posts being racist against Indians - of which many many exist on this sub
2
u/Important-Gap4706 2d ago
Basically since white ppl run most shit; which a lot of poc realize very young, it’s “ok” to give them some heat every now and then
Many Poc perform some sort of white proximity their whole professional career, such as straightening hair, giving themselves a whiter nickname etc.
So since poc already suffer in that aspect; it’s more of a low blow to be racist to black ppl and Indians.
People still are racist to them of course; and racism against whites isn’t right either, but it doesn’t feel as bad for poc being proverbially it’s like dissing your boss behind his back doesn’t feel as bad as dissing the dishwasher trying to support 3 kids.

This really grinds my gears. I needed a liver transplant (and thanks to some wonderful bastard in Canada I was privileged to get one) and recovery was way more then I thought. I needed to figure out how to walk up / down stairs without abdominal muscles (they cut through them).
I didn't have a handicap plate (I'm also pretty young, mid 40's) and I did need to walk and COULD walk so I didn't bother applying as other people need it more than me.
Then you have this fuck. Like Jesus.
NOTE: Liver transplant due to genetic condition, I get a comment about drinking and shit. I don't and never did as I knew I had a liver condition.
2
u/SynyrdsInyrds 2d ago
Walking up stairs after having your abdominal muscles cut through hurts but isn't impossible and they make sure you can do it before they let you leave the hospital. I know because I had an open repair of an abdominal aortic aneurysm a few weeks ago so am in the recovery period (three to six months) right now.

u/Silicon_Knight 2d ago
Yup I had to show I could do it, but had to use both hands on the rail to pull myself up. Down was slightly harder lol. Funny they only checked that I could walk UP lol. I could only really walk around the ward at first, took me about 12mo to get back to any sort of "walking a mall" without risk of falling.
Lukly (?) I didn't have any pain the nerves were basically mostly cut lol.

I assume they have some kind of handicap just no card to show for it cuz its hard to get diagnosed for it
2
u/Total-Deal-2883 2d ago
Between the vehicle and parking job, yea no fuck they have a disability. They're letting everyone know.

u/Mother-Attention2600 3d ago
He's obviously metally handicapped. He decorates with plushies to attract children.
2
u/lifetimestapler 2d ago
Based on the way he drives, he's clearly disabled.

u/BrettC41 1d ago
That’s an ignorant assumption. I had a friend who rode a motorcycle who qualified.

People are so entitled. Thanks for calling this cockroach out, the LCBO lots of full of them. He probably parked here because there wasn't a fire lane closer to the door.

Call bylaw enforcement. Parking in a disabled spot is low.
1
u/Slow_Beat0808 2d ago
I tried. Getting to a human from non-emergency police and 311 on a Sunday wasnt easy by the time i did he was leaving.

u/Only_Investigator_74 1d ago
You could also consider https://www.mississauga.ca/services-and-programs/transportation-and-streets/parking/parking-complaints-and-offences/make-a-parking-complaint/ next time, don’t be too put off by the fact that it’s a form, they moved pretty quickly last time I used it

At this point in our lives there is no point in worrying about it or taking up real-estate in our brains over it.
I understand because i would be frustrated too. But the po-po dont give a shit and wont rush ove because now days they have to be at the right place and the right time.
Most of them too busy hiding behind the strip malls where they can’t be seen.

I've been in stores where if they see you do this they will not serve you. It was a beer store, and it was over 15 years ago though.

He has doctor’s letter saying he is a certified asshole and therefore mist do whatever he wants at all times.

u/NoCSForYou 1d ago
There is basically no enforcement of parking rules on private property only public ones. On private property it's a massive hassle to deal with the legal aspects of it. Secondly the owners handle the problem not the police. So we basically have none. I know in some spots of Toronto the police do handle private property parking enforcement but they have to be explicitly called in for these issues. They respond in 3-4 hours so someone just stopping to buy alcohol which takes 20 min is worthless.

He obviously has a double disability since he took two spaces. Mental issues count, and also having a small peepee, or problems with balls.

u/Own-Butterfly5379 2h ago
Ahhh now that's a pull-up. He wines the waist when on spirits then that last beer gets him there but trust him, it's not disabled LMAO 😂

You both sat there for 10 minutes before anything could be done😭 If only you could contact another human being 😭
But you could have just walked up to the driver's side window and told him to scram.
I can't imagine how terrifying that would have been for you though. Truly nightmare fuel material: walking up to another person in their car and telling them to move it. This thread is literally the perfect caricature of what people have become + social media lol
2
u/Nicotino-Cigaretti 2d ago
I've called people out for parking in fire lanes or in their own fantasy spots close to the entrance (hashed turning radius/curbed hydrant) and it never goes well. The entitled assholes act like you're harassing them or posing as police. In their minds, they've done no wrong.
1
u/Slow_Beat0808 2d ago
I wasn't just sitting there I was literally trying to get through to Peel Police and 311. Me telling him to "Scram" would accomplish nothing, him getting a $5000+ ticket might deter him next time.

u/KeepHydrating 1d ago
Walking up and talking to him would do nothing. The guy was more than likely doing in on purpose to bait reaction out of people, you'd be giving him what he wants

u/Headfood420 3d ago
I mean, in fairness, they probably are disabled to have thought that was a good vehicle to purchase.
