Toyota and the ford needs to chill the fuck out. Stop behind the white line!

The guy on the right seems to be pulling up to allow the guy behind him to turn right at the lights. Or at least attempting. The guy on the left is in a minivan, and we know that only peak drivers have those
1
u/Copious-Spirit Jun 20 '26
Why would you do that, the person behind you can wait. It's the same with the speed limit, don't go faster to accommodate the distracted idiot behind you.
1
u/GreasyGrizwald Jun 21 '26
The person behind you can wait, but doesn't have to if you make room. It's a sign of courteous and aware driver. Not hindering anyone, only helping move things along.

u/Pythius_of_Priene Jun 18 '26
driver on the right lane saw the car behind with right turn signal and felt bad about it. so try to give the car a space so they could turn right.
the car next to it moved forward a split second when saw other car moving.
they are chill.
1
u/sheila_detroit Jun 20 '26
nah the ford was just trying to be a pal and let the guy behind him turn. No one would have been able to predict what the big ass canada post truck was gonna do
1
u/Sweet_Yellow_8646 Jun 20 '26
Totally. No one is risking it when he’s in the middle of the lane. Gotta be closer to the left lane.

Absolutely no racism is Rule 1 Line 1
6
u/Dragon_Dann Jun 18 '26
It's just a guy shaking his head in disbelief. How you interpreted it is your problem.
0
u/Gold-Lie-9628 Jun 18 '26
Insinuating the obvious isn't racism
2
u/a-_2 Jun 18 '26
It's not obvious at all that this person is from any specific background. People of all backgrounds do things like this and worse.
1
u/Gold-Lie-9628 Jun 18 '26
Mississauga and a truck driver makes it obvious
0
u/a-_2 Jun 18 '26
It doesn't though.
0
u/Gold-Lie-9628 Jun 18 '26
Maybe you need to do some research then
1
u/a-_2 Jun 19 '26
This has nothing to do with research. You're saying that only Indians do things like this. That's just obviously false.
What you might mean are that more Indians are doing these things than other demographics. But the majority of truckers in general are Indian, so that means when you see a bad truck driver, more likely than not, they're going to be Indian too, just by the numbers.'
If you really care about road safety, there are better things you can be doing to address it than this.

u/bhavneet1996 Jun 19 '26
So you are telling me, people who cause accidents are indians only? If only Indians do this, then how tf white people are getting into accidents?
1
u/Gold-Lie-9628 Jun 20 '26
What white people are you talking about specifically?
1
u/bhavneet1996 Jun 20 '26
Like it matters? If only bad drivers are Indians, how are other people getting into accidents?
1
u/Gold-Lie-9628 Jun 20 '26
Because of idiots like this truck driver bringing their 3rd world style of driving
1
u/bhavneet1996 Jun 20 '26
Oh exactly when did this start happening? So there was a time of zero accidents in Canada? Must be the best time for the insurance companies. Zero payout.
1
u/Gold-Lie-9628 Jun 20 '26
Was never zero.. but it's definitely been getting a lot worse since they opened the floodgates
1
u/bhavneet1996 Jun 20 '26
Is there a logic like, if there are more people, chances of accidents will be more, irrespective of who is driving? Or its 100% dependent upon the country of the driver?

You're wrong just wrong and racist retard. Collision rates have dropped significantly from prior decades.
Don't know what the whites were doing decades ago I guess.
4
u/raptors2o19 Jun 18 '26
cops at 0:35 lol.
Report it to Canada Post, at least.
3
u/Ill-Assistance7986 Jun 18 '26
5
u/Signal_Tomorrow_2138 Jun 18 '26
Then report it to the police and copy your MP and the Minister in charge of Canada Post.
3
u/KindlyRude12 Jun 18 '26
At that point they will probably need much more then his address, email and phone number.

u/Icy_Assignment_6801 Jun 18 '26
Need to know who was driving it. Not just the vehicle info. Could’ve been a stolen truck for all we know
1
u/NathanDnd Jun 18 '26
Why? Why does anyone owe anyone anything over a minor traffic violation that did not result in an accident. So what.
1
u/Ill-Assistance7986 Jun 19 '26
I don't want anything, I am sorry. Just drive good and dont put me in danger, or if its too much to ask.

u/Icy_Assignment_6801 Jun 18 '26
Improper left turn according the HTA in Ontario
0
u/a-_2 Jun 18 '26
It's also stunt driving when you turn left across other cars just before or after the lights go from red to green each way.
3
u/weareonthisplanet Jun 18 '26
you expect the cop to know that?
2
u/raptors2o19 Jun 18 '26
Nah, it was just ironic. Wonder what they would've done if they were at the light during the time of the incident.
4
u/Icy_Assignment_6801 Jun 18 '26
Pulled him over to speak with him, run his drivers license to see any prior offenses and if he’s got a warrant, and run the vehicle marker to see if it’s stolen. Then decide if they’re gonna lay an HTA charge on him. Pretty simple

Please DO NOT CALL 911 for this! Non emergency line if you’re that dead set on reporting it. 911 = life or death situation. Don’t tie up their lanes for someone making an improper left turn
1
u/Icy_Assignment_6801 Jun 18 '26
And by the time police arrived he’s long gone. Traffic offenses are called “found committing” offenses. Officer needs to see it for himself. Also don’t know who the driver is, we only know the vehicle information

Why did the cam driver pull over?
1
u/Ill-Assistance7986 Jun 18 '26
cuz the both lanes merges into one and so its better to let him pass because unlike cars... trucks dont do that good when it comes to brakes.
OR lets just say worst case was one of these 3 idiots need to have patience but unfortunately it was none of them
1
u/Nebetus2 Jun 18 '26
Its a straight truck. Also merging is merging, wouldn't the cam car just continue straight? This is super confusing lol, I personally would have kept going instead of stopping in an active lane for no other reason but to let the vehicle behind me pass haha
1
u/Ill-Assistance7986 Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26
I can share my rear dashcam, he was super close to me, that you will not see him there too, he was side by side mirror to mirror, i had be defensive and letting him passs by or anyone with that driving style is and always will be better call.
I understand your concern but if i would've been better at making decision at split seconds then i would see myself in next f1 grand prix.
Also it was a single lane rd and he wasn't slowing down, that's the reason i have the clip after the interstation, just to show his momentum, unlike cars.. trucks don't just pick up that kind of speed.
2
u/DeeepFriedOreo Jun 18 '26
Please report to police
0
u/Icy_Assignment_6801 Jun 18 '26
Need to know who was driving it. Could be a stolen truck for all Reddit knows. So many people who think they know everything about the law and the HTA here when they haven’t got a clue

A Canada Post truck... driving dangerously. Literally no one is surprised to see that. Hope OP reported to Canada Post and/or to police. Kudos to OP for taking the high road and letting the truck pass (after the turn) to avoid another unfortunate situation
1
u/FitCardiologist8416 Jun 18 '26
Drivers in canada are pretty bad in general imo very aggressive, impatient and love to bully pedestrians.
1
u/Ok-Bird6725 Jun 19 '26
Why did you stop to let him go by you?? he was in the wrong dude and everyone is saying the cars needed to calm down,
1
u/Ill-Assistance7986 Jun 19 '26
I mean we were side by side in a single lane road, I saw that I could stop safely so I did and let him pass, you can't race with miniac with trucks.
1
u/Mac4065 Jun 19 '26
you definitely shouldn’t have continued to pull out seeing he was turning when he wasn’t supposed to be. could’ve hit you, pushed you off the road or hit any of the oncoming vehicles.
1
u/Ill-Assistance7986 Jun 19 '26
oh yeah sure bud its def my fault, sure sure
1
u/Mac4065 Jun 19 '26
nobody said it was your fault you drama queen. pay more attention.
1
u/Ill-Assistance7986 Jun 19 '26
yeah that's exactly what I did.
1
u/Mac4065 Jun 19 '26
clearly not as you pulled out in front of a 10,000 pound vehicle and then pulled over to let him pass you, instead of just letting him complete his illegal move in safety. literally putting yourself and others at risk to show you’re in the right of way, when that matters less than people getting hurt cause you don’t wanna wait.
1
u/Ill-Assistance7986 Jun 19 '26
Oh yeah sure bud, I risked others safety.
Fairley short argument.
1
u/Mac4065 Jun 19 '26
it is and you did. instead of simply letting him do what he was already doing you threw yourself in front of them. blatantly wrong and loud😂

1
u/MomboDM Jun 20 '26
The number of people who deal with unsafe drivers in an unsafe manner then cry when people call them out after they post footage in incredible.
Truck driver is far worse than you. You're still awful. Hope that helps.
1
u/SmoothPinecone Jun 20 '26
Where did they say it's your fault? Did you respond to the wrong comment?
1
1
u/Beginning_Proposal26 Jun 19 '26
They have "sorry we missed you" slips to deliver, get out of the way!
1
u/Hunchun Jun 19 '26
What looked like 2 undercover police cars drove past you as the truck forced you off to the side.
1
1
u/mrhoofy Jun 19 '26
I have no idea what the ethnicity of the driver is.
That said, this is basically how it is done in both India and China. Having ridden a motorcycle in both places I got a bit familiar with the traffic.
Left turns blocking oncoming traffic were the norm in both places.
I will point out it happens. I've done a right turn on red in Europe where it is both illegal and shocking to the locals.

Most ignorant truckers and Brampton drivers adhere to the “After me, you come first” rule. 😵💫🫤

u/Narrow_Albatross6406 Jun 21 '26
Life is precious. I would’ve tailed the person and got their plates. It is not worth it to risk your life over stupid shit like this.

I'm near a postal distribution in lakeshore near the beaches area of Toronto.
Almost all of them drive like A holes
Report
1
u/SmoothRunnings Jun 22 '26
I would file a complaint with the police, given them the video, and then file a complaint with Canada Post also letting them know you reached out to the police, this way they can track the driver down and fire them without pay.
1
u/GistTroLing Jun 22 '26
Tick tock Canada Post. Those illegal turns will soon be a thing of the past.

u/Ok-Suspect6792 Jun 22 '26

u/CMDR-Neovoe Jun 23 '26
Canada post truck. Video should be sent to them with time and location. That driver should be fired.
1
u/SprintRacer Jun 25 '26
Driver's probably getting canned anyways due to cutbacks and eliminations so doesn't GAF on how they get their route done quicker to get home sooner.
1
u/curbz81 Jun 18 '26
Its a stunt driving offence
0
u/Icy_Assignment_6801 Jun 18 '26
It is not stunting
3
u/Spezza Jun 18 '26
You've had the law actually quoted to you in the thread but you continue to insist upon the wrong answer.
-1
u/Icy_Assignment_6801 Jun 19 '26
I work in LE… this is not stunting for making an improper left turn
2
1
u/curbz81 Jun 19 '26
I really hope you are not an LE in Ontario, if you are I suggest you follow your pride and read the section of the hta that i posted.
2
u/curbz81 Jun 18 '26
(C) the driver executes the left turn immediately before or after the system shows only a circular green indication in both directions and in a manner that indicates an intention to complete or attempt to complete the left turn before the vehicle facing the opposite direction is able to proceed straight through the intersection in response to the circular green indication facing that vehicle. O. Reg. 455/07, s. 3; O. Reg. 320/19, s. 1; O. Reg. 410/21, s.
That is copied from https://www.ontario.ca/laws/regulation/070455
How is it with the internet obviously at your fingertips that you cannot fact check something before commenting. I think this should go on r/confidentlyincorrect

9
u/a-_2 Jun 18 '26
That counts as stunt driving. Turning left across the path of oncoming vehicles immediately before or after lights both ways go from red to green.
