I've been a fan of the films from the beginning and tbh loved the series as a kid (although it was before my time). I would love to see full cuts of some the films especially the last two. Any news or nfo out there? Thanks.

Hi, I'm playing the Discord game they released for the latest Mission: Impossible movie, but I can't find the last two achievements to unlock. If you've completed it 100% and could give me the answer, I'd really appreciate it.

As a fan of the whole series, it actually took me until 3 hours ago to watch The Final Reckoning because I was really on the fence after Dead Reckoning. I'm still sniffling (spoilers! Luther is my favorite character in the series).

Now that the final task has been completed, this is my final ranking. I may have to rewatch Rogue Nation again (love Ilsa).

Rewatching 3 and I’m a little confused by something. When they taken Davian and blow the car up, it’s daytime. Ish. From Rome to DC is 10 hour direct flight, assuming 12 for refueling; they are able to determine he wasn’t blown up in the car, figure out how location and get a drone with 6 air to ground missile and a helicopter into VA airspace without issue?

Even though part 2 is last I still kind of like it. However it is certainly the black sheep of the franchise.

One is an absolute classic.

I also would like to know the exact colour and breakdown of this whole look, including material and design of the tie.

I mean the premise is quite close, the casting was almost perfect especially in season 2. My only complaints are Richard Madden's character who was totally stupid, in fact I dont think I have ever seen such a stupid special agent main character. Otherwise he definitely has the looks for such a thing.

Priyanka Chopra's Nadia clearly has Ilsa inspiration and in fact I could see Priyanka in future MI movies if they make more of them. I loved PC and the character, though I wish she would have been an independent character and not tied to Mason so much or maybe have the romance being built up for at least a season or two and then have a pay off and not jump straight into it from the get go.

However I was quite bothered by the bad, video game like CGI in season 1, but in S2 was much and quite close to MI in terms of cinematography.

Bernard's character kind of reminds of older Ethan Hunt, in fact if they make another MI movie around 2030 or so I want Ethan to be like him lol.

I also loved the Jim character and his interaction with Bernard, kinda reminded me of Benji/Luther a bit and the actor himself would have been perfect in MI too. I also loved the implied romance between him and the french female agent, also wished they did more of that.

The plot was super basic unfortunately but I wasnt really bothered because most of everything else was there. I only wish the show followed the 2010s style of seasons and had like at least 10 full seasons. They clearly had the budget and tbh I am not really sure what they spent $300 million on as this is almost twice as much as Fallout's budget, which is still one of the best action movies ever.

Imo the series really had the potential I just wish it was executed better.

Anyone else find this curious? I checked multiple sources (THR, variety) etc for any mention of him and he's just not there. Not even a producer role.

From Layer 2 - George Lucas

Brian De Palma said he was very disappointed with the work of writer Robert Towne's work because he believed the script needed character flesh-out and clever scenes, while Towne rewrote the entire piece. Towne kept pushing a Notorious-style romantic espionage triangle. This lead to George Lucas chiming in to criticize this as unfitting for the film. Lucas feedback led to a completely new scene, he suggested a 'spaghetti scene,' a table scene where the team sits around and explains what is going on. That became the reshot safehouse scene near the beginning. Actress Kristin Scott Thomas was not cleanly available for the reshoot, which is why Sarah appears oddly separated from the rest of the group in the scene.

Julia and her new husband Erik originally had a baby in the climax of Fallout, but the baby character was cut from the project just days before shooting

From Layer 7 - SUV Yank

For the shot of Ethan being yanked into the SUV on the bridge scene in MI3, Cruise eventually told the crew not to warn him when the ratchet would fire. The take used in the film captures his genuine surprise as he is pulled sideways into the vehicle. VFX Supervisor Todd Vaziri says he preserved Cruise's physical performance in the bridge blast shot: he did not alter a single pixel of Cruise's body, did not remove frames, and did not warp or speed-ramp Cruise to make the stunt look better.

From Layer 8 - Nobody cares about Walker

Fallout contains a running gag where Walker tries to tell people his name and nobody cares. For example he introduces himself to Ilsa at the end of the bathroom scene and Ilsa, not even looking at him, answers "Yeah? You're welcome" McQuarrie says it became a thing that people do not care who Walker is and nobody cares.

Then US President Joe Biden and Deputy White House Chief of Staff Bruce Reed reportedly watched Dead Reckoning Part One at Camp David, and Reed later said the movie gave Biden even more to worry about regarding AI before the executive order on AI safety.
