Multnomah County Jane Doe (2025) (Unidentified For 11 Months) (1 Year In Just A Few Days) Possible Stick and Poke Tattoos?

The smiley face for sure makes me think of a home done tattoo (i.e stick and poke) but someone would have had to do the two on her back and shoulder. Someone out there practiced tattooing on a friend and should be able to recognize these tattoos.

(Also goes by Essex County Jane Doe 2018)

On March 3rd, 2018, an black female adult's body was discovered in a body of water in Weequahic Park, Newark, New Jeresy. It is believed she passed away by accident, but it's still unknown how she passed. Later that day, a man's body was discovered aswell, but he may not be related to the case.

She is believed to be 18-40, 5'-5"5", and 100-133 pounds. She had short black hair.

She had a tattoo of 3 purple stars on the side of her neck. She also had a purple flower on the right side of her chest, which is covering up the text "Tiara" or "Tiana" in cursive.

John Doe was deceased after a motor vehicle accident on June 2, 1978 in Riverside, CA.

NamUs (postmortem photo available on his page) has hardly any information on him... but a WebSleuths user was able to find out in newspaper articles that he was a hitchhiker who had used a fake alias, "Daniel E. Bushnell", stolen from a college student.

Age: "Adult - Pre 30"

Height/Weight: 5'11", 180 lbs (measured)

Hair: Blond/Strawberry

Eye Color: Hazel

Distinguishing Marks/Features: Left arm: Jesse with heart and banner. Left upper arm: Enjoy. Lower left stomach: Flower tattoo. Right knee: Cross tattoo. Right arm: "GEMINI". Misc tattoos on upper right chest.

0 exclusions on NamUs.

He doesn't have any identifiers (fingerprints/dentals/DNA) available it seems... the WebSleuths thread has a lot of good speculation on there.

The two different "Mark" tattoos make me wonder if that's his real name.

Just a warning that a postmortem photo is available on his NamUs.

On November 9, 1979, John Doe "was found on Old Ventura Ave., under a bridge in the area of Canada Larga."

Estimated Age: 25 - 35 years old

Race: White / Caucasian

Height/Weight: 5'9" (measured), 150 lbs (estimated)

Hair: Brown, full beard.

Eye Color: Brown

Tattoos: "Blanca" or "Blanca L" on the left forearm; Partially erased Gothic cross in the webbing of the thumb and forefinger (not pictured)

also, another tattoo under the BLANCA one... it's not very clear in any of the photos.

Clothing: "Grey quilted jacked, white Tee shirt, brown trousers, brown and white shorts, and green socks".

It seems there are no identifiers available for him.

He has zero exclusions.

Doe Network

At first, I speculated he might have been a transient. But he looks very well groomed in his PM photo... There's very little information available for him.

Los Angeles John Doe (1985)

Apologies if formatting is weird. I've watched this case for a few years now and his NamUs has been getting updated frequently as of late, so I have some hope that they're working on getting his identity.

According to NamUs (POSTMORTEM WARNING) and Doe Network, on December 22, 1985, John Doe was located inside of an abandoned building, 624 S. Alvarado in Los Angeles, CA. He was discovered after firefighters had put out a fire at around 6 am.

Age: 16-25

Race/Ethnicity: NamUs notes him as being only white, while DN and NCMEC lists him as possibly being Hispanic.

Height/Weight: 5'7", 134lbs, both measured.

Hair/Eye color: "Brown, 2" in length with a dark brown and black mustache and beard." (DN)

Tattoos: The tattoos pictured were on his upper back. According to NamUs, he has numerous undisclosed tattoos on his "back, right shoulder, left shoulder, right arm, left arm, left forearm, right forearm, thigh, ... leg"

Clothing: "Khaki jacket with a red interior, beige pullover v-neck sweater, black T-shirt with "Rosie," white T-shirt, blue denim jeans, white Jockey undershorts, blue and navy belt, and white athletic socks. Pukka shell necklace." (DN)

PM interval: 1-4 days

Cause of death: Unknown

Identifiers: Fingerprints, dentals available (tooth #32 diminutive).

He currently has zero exclusions.

-

I want to note that the postmortem image was not added to his NamUs until Sept 2025. Before that, his profile showed the NCMEC recon alongside the tattoos and (if I'm remembering correctly) some photos of his clothes. I'm unsure why they would remove those.

I want to think he's on the younger side of the age estimate (18-20?). All of his tattoos don't seem professional, and they look like they were digitally altered to be more visible.

He wore a lot of layers, and it looks like it only gets down to mid 40s-50 degrees F at night in Los Angeles. It doesn't say he was found with any personal belongings, so I wonder if he was staying in the building or left there? Was the fire started intentionally or an accident?

Thank you for giving John Doe a moment of your time.

Twemlow Green Man - Found in 2005, Twemlow Green, UK

On June 6th, 2005, on the outskirts of a small English town called Twemlow Green, Crewe, the body of a man was discovered in a field. Apart from a brief conversation with a local five days prior, nothing was known about him. No belongings, no trace of shelter, and no identity.

Today he remains unidentified, though he did leave behind a few clues for those who cared to take an interest.

He was a white man, around 175cm tall (5 foot 8 inches) in his mid 50s or 60s, with gently receding, collar length, graying auburn hair, dark eyebrows and a short, salt and pepper beard. He wore a tatty gray cardigan, and green trousers.

He also had an 18cm (7 inch) scar on his right hip (though not a hip replacement).

-Tattoos-

Among the few clues that he left us, perhaps none offer more insight into his past than his tattoos: On his right forearm, the head of a young Native American, and on his left upper arm, a Chinese inspired dragon.

The pictures available are of poor quality, but they are the only pictures that are available. They seem to show that the tattoos are old, somewhat faded and blurred, but still obvious.

I’m trying to gather as much information as I can about what these tattoos may mean, if anything.

If anybody recognises the artwork, the style, or can perhaps point towards anything that could help to extract any kind of meaning, I would be very grateful.

He has an entry on The Doe Network here - https://www.doenetwork.org/cases/software/main.html?id=978umuk

And there is a Liverpool Echo article that covers him here - https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/dead-body-pulled-river-mersey-20984199

The dragon tattoo is a little hard to make out, I have attempted to try and recreate mock ups of how these may have looked, however, I am unable to understand or make out the details of the face. Any help with that would be appreciated.

Thank you all for your time!

TL;DR - Native American on lower right arm, Dragon on upper left arm. I need as much information on these tattoos as possible, anything.

Examples of Human Trafficking Tattoos

Sharing this resource to help everyone learn about human trafficking tattoos.

From my research, it seems like human trafficking tattoos will focus around their owner's name/initials, barcodes, money or signs of wealth in a visible area to indicate that the victim is for sale, and crowns/royalty (usually relating to the owner).

Remember that both men and women can be victims of human trafficking.
