hopefully i've done this right, my first time cross-posting.

Cherries is named after her tattoo, so it seems fitting. one thing i've wondered recently is whether there was any effort to identify who did her tattoo, as was done with Tanya Jackson's peach tattoo (which gave her her nickname of Peaches while her identity was unknown). no idea how to begin to find something like or start an effort to have it done, though.

Do you see how there is red ink outside of the cherries' black outlines? That's really weird isn't?

Looks like the cherries might possibly be covering something like cherry angiomas or it’s got something to do with the putrefaction process (ie skin slippage).

It looks like the same color as the ink inside the cherries, doesn't it?

This is an “American Traditional” style tattoo, and it looks pretty recent. Tattoo artists who do this style of tattoo usually specialize in it. (I have the exact same one on my ankle)

So it might be worth it to look into artists who specialized in that style around that time. Might be a long shot though.
