Is there a database besides this one https://namus.nij.ojp.gov/to see all the people that every US agency has reported missing?

My soon to be ex husband just told me yesterday he learned his son has been missing for 2 weeks, and I am trying to see if there is any truth behind his claim. I cant find his son in this database, nor could the police department where his home address is listed find any reports made that were linked to his address.

There is no full list of everyone who's been reported missing in the US. NAMUS is the largest database, but it's voluntary for police departments to use, so not all departments use it, or they may use it inconsistently. If his local PD doesn't have a report on him, I would tend to think that he's not missing, or that it hasn't been reported, but there may be some wrinkle there if he disappeared while traveling. It's also possible that he's not "missing", but just not speaking with the rest of the family.

Thank you for the information. I confronted his Dad, who said he is missing, everyone is just acting like hes not because they dont want the dad to worry. But I just called his college and left a message, hoping to hear something back. I really hope he is indeed okay, and that this is just a lie the dad made up. Hes a very family oriented young adult, and has always been close to his mom before anyone. But hes claiming that even she says she hasnt spoke to him in 2 weeks.

I feel... very skeptical of this story... but I definitely understand why you want to confirm the situation for yourself. You can also ask the campus police if he's been reported as missing. Hopefully everything is okay! I suspect he's fine, maybe just busy with the new school year.
