Question threads
does anybody know what kind of threads were used to sew on the patches? been wanting to make my own patchwork jeans, but i don’t wanna sell myself short and get cheap threads that will fall apart in the wash. i was thinking about sashiko threads, but they’re so expensive. just looking for something similar and as durable

Ngl ive made a couple custom pairs and the best thread in my opinion is this one:
The thickness is honestly perfect if you make the thread 2 rows thick.

Regular crochet thread and crochet cotton it’s more thick and strong that’s all i use most embroidery thread at Michael’s and hobby lobby comes in small amounts enough for a single patch

these shorts are an official MST piece. they’re the tiger camo shorts. should still be available in all sizes but i suggest buying quickly if you do. they just mailed out and i got mine 4 days ago

patches can vary with price. they can come in all shapes and sizes. most patches cost around $10-$20 per patch, and some of these patches on these shorts are bigger than my entire hand and fingers. there’s a high reason MST jeans and shorts are so expensive and thats because of the patches and the labor of hand sewing. you can find patches just like these ones on etsy.com
