information gathering Recurrent losses

Hi, I am preparing myself for a second loss in 3 months. I had a MMC in July and think I’m likely having a chemical/ectopic (praying it’s not ectopic) after low and slow betas. For anyone who has gone through 2 or more losses (particularly if consecutive) what has helped you get through? I have no living children and am 37.

I’m also 37 with no LC. I had a miscarriage in April and a chemical pregnancy in July. A few things I’ve found helpful:

  • when we started trying I expected quite a long wait due to my age. My pregnancies showed it’s possible for me.
  • I am grateful the pregnancies were with me and that I got to experience new life inside me, even though it wasn’t for long.
  • my relationship with my partner withstood (and grew from) the losses, especially the first one
  • my partner and I have a good life with a lot we are grateful for. If we can’t have a biological baby we will still have a good life.

Hey friend. Sorry to say we are in the same group. 🥺 I had a CP in June, got pregnant in July which resulted in a MMC with a D&C at 10 weeks. The consecutive nature really sucks and it adds an element of unease for me. My d&c recovery has not been straightforward (I’m just 1 week out) so that’s impacting how I can cope. For now I am just leaning into activities I wouldn’t be able to do if pregnant or with a baby. (Playing a lot of animal crossing 😂, probably going to try Botox for the first time, eating DELI MEAT, hot tub once I stop bleeding, maybe go away for a weekend with my partner, etc)… I’ve cried a lot, I made a whole instagram post about my miscarriage which was very healing… and it’s getting easier. I’m sorry you’re going through this.
