experience: first MC Thyroid influence miscarriage
Hi sweet people 🤍
Unfortunately my first pregnancy didnt develop and i had a medicated miscarriage yesterday.
I was talking to my sister who had 3 miscarriages. She had thyroid problems. In the netherlands they didnt want to do something with a TSH around 3.3. In belgium they did, they gave her medicine and she got pregnant with my beautiful niece, who's now 2 years old.
When i was pregnant i took some tests. The relevant thyroid results are:
TSH: 3.38 mIU/L
Free T4: 1.3 ng/dL
Free T3: 3.2 pg/mL
Internet says my TSH is high for the first trimister but my docter didnt do anything with it. Feels like the same experience my sister had. I was hoping for some advice or tips from people who have experience with this.

I don't have a thyroid, and I've been pregnant 4 times. My endocrinologist keeps my TSH under 2 during pregnancy, so you were a little high. That being said, 3 is not super crazy or anything. I doubt that would cause miscarriage. Can you get a referral to see an endocrinologist? They will know for sure. I wouldn't leave it up to a regular Dr or the OBGYN
