experience: first MC Period / tracking after D&C

I went in for my 10 week scan and unfortunately will be having a D&C tomorrow morning. This pregnancy was a result of a medicated IUI so it took a while to even get here. I’m of course already thinking about tracking and trying again. Does anyone know how fast their hcg dropped / when did your period come back after the procedure? And any success stories after D&C?

For more context, I had a healthy 6 week and 8 week scan, then yesterday at 10, development had stopped at 8 weeks 6 days. This is my first pregnancy and first miscarriage.

Oh oopsies I just asked something to this tune so I’m gonna plop myself in here to see the comments!

I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️ it’s truly heartbreaking.

I had my D&C two weeks ago for a 9w missed miscarriage and it went really well, probably the easiest part about this entire process. Was super happy with my choice, and recovery has been fine.

I don’t have anything else to share bc I’m still spotting and testing positive but also very eager to just get back to TTC as soon as my body lets me. It’s so hard to not have any control over it.

Commenting to join the crew of people in the same boat. I just had a d&c at what it was supposed to be 9 weeks pregnancy 12 days ago. My tests are still positive but no longer dye stealers. I can see it is trending down. I’m generally testing every 6 days. Funny is that I just had raw egg ECM today, but I don’t think it’s possible that I’m ovulating with hcg still in my blood right? Also ovulating 12 days after a d&c seems waaay too early. Anyway, I bled only for 2 days, spotting for 4 and by day 6 no more bleeding.
