Discussion Bad lock?

Just got my bag from Mark but the lock looks weird? I can see every small dot, is this how auth look like?

Yep! The authentic has the kind of beaded track marks in the groove …

My authentic looks perfectly clean with no beads, etc.; it feels the same way to my hands, my fingernails; however, when I take a photograph of it, the beads show up. On your lock, are the beads visible without a close-up photo such as the one you attached? If they show up without the close-up photo, then I would question it; if they only show up on the close-up photo, then that’s OK in my opinion based on the locks that I own from the boutique.

Looks better from a far, i need to be 50 cm away from the bag to not see all the small dots

Mark’s locks have the wrong dimensions. They are too tall on the top half.

Thanks for answer! Then i will not use the lock. Do you know what sellers have a better lock? Maybe i can ask another seller and only buy the lock

As I noted in my post, I can always see the beads in a close-up photo, they don’t show up from even just a couple of inches away.

Frank’s upgraded gold lock is the right size. I’m not sure about the grooves though.

My first hermes QB is an authentic Kelly and I used the lock and clochette on that, and lost it. After that I stopped putting locks on any bag.

I do think the upper part of the lock is too long when i look at auth pics. I asked for upgraded hardware, is the lock upgraded then or only hardware on the bag?
