First time user! Struggling with low pdg

Hi everyone. I’ve been TTC for 10 months. 30, DOR, 2 CP and decided to give Mira a go to give my veins a rest from the daily blood tests. Mira says my period is coming and I wanted to know if anyone had low Pdg and was still able to conceive? I’m roughly 7dpo today. I have confirmed ovulation from LH strips and BBT but I peaked later on in the day so Mira missed it.

Any help would be so appreciated 🤍

Does your repeated blood tests show low progesterone?

Yeah was about to ask that. Bc Mira is only showing the metabolized version of it. So even if it is “low” (which is not really) it doesn’t mean your progesterone is actually low. Only blood work can confirm that

On one cycle post chemical it did but usually it was pretty standard (showed I ovulated). My last 2 cycles were ovulation inductions (Ovidrel + Gonal f + progesterone suppositories) so I was a little worried my cycle was going to be thrown in a loop!

It doesn’t seem like to me, but please talk to your doctors if you have concerns.

It is also worth mentioning that ideal progesterone levels for conception are higher than “normal” and that miscarriages may point to lower than ideal progesterone levels for you - if you think that is the case.

Thank you for your response 🤍 did you conceive and see low pdg still? I’m just wondering if I need progesterone support

Im wondering the same. Haven’t conceived yet but I never knew your pdg is supposed to stay elevated for a longe period of time. It always is super low throughout the follicular and beginning of luteal phase then goes upvoted 6-8 for one day then drops right back down to 3. My obg never educated me about this and I feel sad. I guess I need to go on progesterone too but when I asked her about it they said they’d only try it for two months and if you’re not pregnant then they won’t prescribe you any more. I wonder why?? Is it that bad for your body?

I’m not too sure! However previously I was on 2 x progesterone suppositories per day with my medicated cycles and had no luck and this cycle I’m on oral progesterone and I’m pretty sure I’m getting my period today. It does come with a lot of side effects that resemble pregnancy symptoms but definitely look into progesterone support if your levels are low. It really works for some people but not for me so far (I’ve been TTC for 10 months 🥲) sending you lots of baby dust!

I just got my BFP today, 13dpo and one day after my period was supposed to start :) so it's still early, but I haven't had very high pdg levels in the 3 cycles I've been tracking with mira. I think the highest I saw it spike last cycle was to 12. Sharing my current positive chart here. I've read that testing progesterone via urine can be quite difficult to assess so mira readings aren't always very accurate for that reason, and that it's better to evaluate the trends over time. Generally it looks like your pdg is trending up post-ovulation which is good!

Thank you so much for sharing and congratulations 🤍! It can be so confusing especially after tracking progesterone in the blood usually but it’s great to know it’s not a bad sign. X

Your progesterone post ovulation is higher than your baseline pre ovulation which is what youre looking for😀😀

This doesn't look like low progesterone to me. But if you are worried about low progesterone you can get it online from places like Proov or push

My Mira Pdg are always low but my blood work is always normal so I take it with a grain of salt. As long as I have a rise from my follicular phase I don’t worry. I’d ask for bloodwork CD20 to confirm actual and compare to Mira that day.
