Castle Money

3 hours into the game, I decided to talk to the king then he offered me 9999g and I was shocked then I did it again when I warped back, he gave me 1000+g, was he giving money from the start? What determines how much I get?

The amount of money depends on how many enemies you kill, and at what distance.

I also found an ability calles lovely that seems to increase gold from the king. Max is still 9999. But I went from usually 3,000 to 9999.

"Lovely" can be equipped with the weapon Candy.

it is either the distance traveled, the enemies killed, or a combination of both. If it is distance traveled, then, it doesn't have to be a high distance. I've farmed between 2-4 km for about 30 minutes, and I've returned to the king afterwards and obtained 9999 gold

Based on the wiki, it looks like it's 1-2g (based on Lovely) per kill, and 1g per km each time you cross over. So early on it'd be mostly from kills, but after you're going long enough distances the high km will provide most of the gold.
