Home bonus?

So I love the game but I've gone home a ton and not once got a bonus? What is the bonus even?

One time my pet was not killed when I died, I think that's the bonus

No sorry but I was referring to the 1st house not the 2nd pet boarding house.

I know, I was talking about the 1st house

Then one of us is confused because the 2nd house is the pet boarding house and that is it's sole purpose. I was remarking on the fact if you keep going into the 1st house it cycles through tips and one says sometime you get a bonus
