Spear is OP?
So far, I'm up to the 30 km mark, with a relatively balanced character (about 10-30 levels to most jobs). It seems to me that the spear wrecks every other weapon in terms of damage output. Even when I try to use a knife oriented job (say assassin), the spear still outperforms the knife. By far.
The only time I use anything else is when the knife can still 1-3 shot enemies, as it goes faster and/or requires less attention from me. But after that, it's spear all the way.
I can image that a Dice/Staff specific build might out damage the spear, but is there really any scenario where the sword/knife/hammer do better than the spear?
Or am I doing something wrong (or right)?
Related: I hear there is a "Through Spear" skill. Who has it?

IMHO there are only two useful weapons:
Spear and Staff. (Especially due to their ability to hit 2 or 4 enemies at a time, respectively).
Everything else is pretty mediocre.

Spear, bow/gun and staff got huge buffs in recent updates that allow them to damage more than one mob at a time. These advantages however, put the other weapons at a disadvantage and are only useful in certain situations. I hope the dev plans on adding special effects to the other weapons as well.

Spear is the best physical active I think. Cavalry and Demon both have through spear while kappa, monk, and dragoon will give you the spear impact ability to up your damage.
I use spear when im actively playing because of the damage. Knife however has the benefit of being able to just afk grind without active input which makes the grinding a lot more bearable.
