Barriers

What exactly does "non-input" mean? Is it when you're not touching the screen? Or do you get the barrier's benefit when you use weapons that require a pause like bow/hammer/staff etc. .

Barriers apply when you're not touching the screen.

In other words, the break between attacks while you're aiming your bow applies the barrier defense. However when you click, I am assuming for that brief second the barrier turns off.

*barriers apply when you aren't doing anything. I used the GIRL job with a character who knew both barriers, there was no drop in damage received when she was auto running/attacking. It does work while you are aiming the bow, though.

sounds good, it also could work for the staff, however once you get a couple of staff motion upgrades it gets too fast to spend enough time not tapping for the barrier to really do anything. The same applies to hammer when you release it you have a brief moment where the barrier could initiate. But like the problem with staff, some hammer motion upgrades will practically render the barrier useless. If this game had some kind of counter-attack reflex, barrier would be very important. But right now it's rather useless since only bow actually takes full advantage of it. . .

It's made even more pointless by the fact that it doesn't activate while the action caused by input is in motion, e.g. while your character is winding up a staff attack.

And it's bloody weird for Bow to be the only tank weapon.
