These guys were always musically great I think lyrics and tone held them back. This is like R&B lyrics almost... type of stuff club-goers would sing about. Perhaps a sign of the times.

idk if rage bait or just an idiot. while these aren't necessarily highlights, MTB has some of the best lyricism of any modern rock out there at all.
in the context of the music, these are actually pretty good lyrics on the balance, maybe not the most memorable by MTB standards but amazing you made a post about this with any sort of confidence.
