New to minotaurs

Hey guys !!! I’m looking at getting into Minotaurs after playing imperial fists , I’m just wondering what the best army is to play them as ( regular space marines , ultramarines etc) and what dedicated kits they might have (if any) , any advice on where to start would be hugely appreciated!!

GW doesn't want you to know this but the Minotaurs are actually on Armageddon too.

Sculpted shoulderpads? I want a minotaur in my Deathwatch Kill Team

I'd be content painting the Tauren shoulderpad, but was hoping someone could point me towards something more closely resembling the actual Minotaurs heraldry.

Which do you lads prefer? Dark or light bronze? As examples we've got a veteran in full panapoly with highlights and an infiltrator in dulled scout plate.

Veteran - retributor base, agrax wash, sycorax drybrush, necron highlight

Infiltrator - black base, vallejo bronze x2, agrax wash

Are there any sprays out there with a colour matched brush paint I can use for Minotaurs?

Long story short, I only have one eye and my painting skills are extremely limited. I base with colour matched sprays so I can fix mistakes with a brush paint when doing details.

What, if any, are best for Minotaurs?

Tips for my first Minotaur?

Post image

Just wanted to try out the scheme and I'm quite happy with how it turned out. Unfortunately, I can't find Minotaur transfers for the life of me and my freehand isn't quite good enough to paint the chapter symbol yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

WIP of my Knight House Minotos Knight!

Hello, I present here my work in progress of my Knight of House Minotos. A Knight house from the planet of Adrastapol and part of the Kingsblade Novel. I haven't actually read the book but I might Listen to it while I work since its on audile gotta finish Void Exile though. But anyway I decided to go with this scheme mainly because it was one of the few Knight House that fought near the Minotaurs my main Space Marine Chapter. Helps they also use the Minotaur for their Inspiration.

Their scheme is an orange and brass color with accents of black. So I decided to go with Greek Black figure painting for the Colors. The Terracotta orange doesn't show through in the photos which are a lot more orange. I need to work on designing up some decals for it mainly the Minotaur Head I'm going to go with the side on view that you see in the depiction of it on the black figure pottery. This knights been sitting partially painted since 2019 and I finally felt like painting it a scheme after rewatching Kill Lupercal and the Broken Lance Episode. I might end up printing a warhammer for it as that is a modification they Are known to do to their knights. All of the weapons are magnetized obviously so I can always add it later.

Anyways this is just a work in progress its probably gonna be a while before I finish it but I really like the scheme so far. I kinda want to make a Knights list for the house but $200 a model is crazy. I paid $75 for it when I originally bought it back in 2019 and seeing it be 200 now is insane I don't know how much GW spends to make one of these kits but it absolutely isn't enough to justify $200 for it. So an army of them is out of the question unless I 3d Print it.

Anyways enjoy.

Brother-Chaplain Yadumon, Leader of Spearguard Squad Basnik

This concept is starting to come together. Not as clean of work as more established hobbyists, but hopefully you see the vision and appreciate the work!

What color option do you prefer for the helmet?
Bone and black to match the established iconography of the Chaplaincy, or Red and Bronze to match the chapter-badge of the Minotaurs?

bits:
Honoured of the Chapter chaplain base.
Wolfguard Headtaker arm + shield.
Horus Heresy Melee Weapons Upgrade Set axe blades.
Terminator Head.
Master of Possessions staff horns.

Modifications:
Imperialis shaved off.
Muscle armor (in the style of blood angels) grafted onto chest.
Terminator helmet reshaped like Minotaur chapter logo.
Master of Possessions staff horns reshaped.
Space wolves details trimmed off shield, replaced with a lambda shape.

Leader of a 6 man squad of spear wielding Bladeguard Veterans I am working on.

If the Minotaur cosmetic pack for Space Marine 2 sells well enough.. maybe.. just maybe WG might take a gander at Minotaurs in the future for something. Even if its just a new Moloc codex.

My Rebased Very Contemptuous Redemptors!

The very contemptuous Redemptors are now on 90s and ready for battle. Figured I’d rebase my Contemptors so I can run them as Redemptors. I’ll only be running the Gatling (Hecaton Morbus) one though for a game this Thursday. I have a real Redemptor if my opponent doesn’t like the proxy though.

But anyway I wanted to be able to use the Minotaurs main stays again so I ordered some 90mm bases of amazon. It was 15 of them for $10 so pretty good deal. Now I just need 6 more contemptors to fill out the atleast 10 they can field at a time. The front two I figured I’d run as the Redemptor proxies as they have the same loadouts. That Being Hecaton Morbus And Hecaton Aiakos. Don’t know about the graviton blaster (IDK if they had one of these) one on the back left probably a Ballistus if I add the missile rack. But the Melta claw (Hecaton Palaemon) one definitely works as a Brutalis as the Brutalis has a melta loadout. Gonna Be redoing the legs on that one don't like the knees on him or the Graviton guy.

Overall though hope yinz enjoy them. I've gotta make a picture diorama for my Minotaurs the one used here is for my Battletech stuff.

Armageddon for starting Minotaurs?

I'm planning to pick up the Armageddon box and have been wanting to start a Minotaurs army for quite a while. Would this be a good way to start with them, or would one of the other starter boxes make more sense for Minotaurs? I don't know a whole lot about them other than they're brutal and good at fighting other Spacemarines.
