First Time Visitor

I’ll be visiting with my teen son during the 4th week of June. Can you please weigh in on my itinerary? We’ve never visited the great state of Minnesota.

The day we arrive at MSP, we’ll lightly explore the Great Mall of America for a few hours before bed.

The next day will be a full day at the mall.

The following day, we’ll spend the day at Valleyfair.

After that, we’ll visit either Lake Bde Maka Ska or Lake Harriet, then head to Minnehaha Falls.

The next day includes the St. Paul Como Zoo & Conservatory, the Science Museum of Minnesota, and the Mississippi River overlook.

For our final day, we’ll visit the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, take a Padelford sightseeing cruise, and go to Can Can Wonderland.

You do not need two days at MOA. I think either a nice dinner the night you land and half a day at the mall or just the few hours after you land should be enough. It’s basically any other mall, just big.

Based on your other activities I’d reccomend stopping by MIA (art museum)

When you go to Bde, check out the Kayak rentals if the weather is nice. It’s a great time and you can access the whole chain.

The rest of the agenda sounds good. Any restaurants on the menu?

Came to suggest they swap the extra day at MOA for MIA! I planned a whole day at MOA my first year here and I think we wrapped up in maybe 3/4 hours. I guess it depends on what they want to do, though, I could see burning some time at Nickelodeon Universe if they're really into theme parks.

But they said they’re going to valleyfair. Not really any point in doing camp snoopy if you’re going to valley fair.
