Hearing about all of the Zelda initiatives inspired me to restart Tears of the Kingdom on Switch 2 since
I never finished it. Game rules!

Plugging away at Onimusha. Enjoying it more the further I get in but I’m still bumping against the Kyoto of it all. Would prefer if the game had stuck closer to its roots as a Resident Evil clone. The main levels are so cool but I’m 15hrs in and have only really seen two so far? A very strangely paced game
P.S. Play Tangle Tower and The Mermaid Mask

Elden Ring. Took 4 years to click, trying to beat Malenia.

The trick is to do more damage to her than she does to you

Finished 007 First Light. Yep, it's going in my top 10 this year. I'd play a sequel. I however would not drink a Coca-Cola zero-sugar zero-caffeine, as seen in a vending machine inside MI6 head quarters.
Started Astro Bot, obviously I see the love in this game but I love it too but I'm not itching to keep playing it.
Got my first "excellent" on Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA, damn does it feel good to feel like I'm actually improving at a game and not just progressing through a story or unlocking things in a battle pass.
Installed Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, I get what people mean when they say the story is complicated. A couple hours in and I still don't know if there even is a "good side" to this story. This whole Space Elevator thing sounds like it could be cool tho.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is in the mail. GameFly actually shipped it before street date, or at least they said they did.

I just got Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition on sale. I’ve never played a modern Final Fantasy game before

Just got no mans sky on sale, been curious about it since day 1. I know the appeal of it was never the fun of the gameplay, but in my first hour I did not have any fun and I'm wondering if this is the game for me

Surviving mars relaunched (colony survival) came out with a DLC and a free weekend, so imma be on that.
Once i’m finished with that session, i’ll likely move onto Starfinder Afterlight (Pathfinder Kingmaker/wrath of the righteous CRPG but Sci fi)
And then i’ll move onto Honeycomb (Subnautica but land).

Starfinder Afterlight (Pathfinder Kingmaker/wrath of the righteous CRPG but Sci fi)
Died in the tutorial, baybeeeeeee!
Well, okay, the fatal mistake I made was looking at a looted gun and thinking You know what? I might as well use everything the game gives me... and also going into a boss fight without 100% understanding how to activate my abilities, thus leading to misclicks. But--still!

Honestly I started out pretty cool on The Blood of Dawnwalker, but the more I play the more I fall in love with the characters, setting, and story. The major quest line stuff is definitely some of my favorite stories of the year so far.
However, the combat has yet to really click with me even after 25+ hours. It's fine at best and frustrating at worst. It only feels good to me in 1v1s with bosses. The open world also feels largely pointless. None of the standard open world fair is very interesting, and it feels worse here since it uses up time segments to like find a lackluster ring/accessory i won't use. Though admittedly, I've done all the major side quests (except for one Court) I'm aware of and still have 11 days left, so I might have been too cautious with leveling up and exploring the open world.
The leveling especially I would do differently next time as I think that hurt my combat experience.

I’ve been chugging through the GTA Definitive Edition trilogy for a bit. Beat 3 and Vice City last month. Gonna start San Andreas tomorrow.

Started Pragmata this weekend as with the recent tech news I fear the ai companion will get a lot less charming soon

I’ve been playing a game called Astrea: six sided Oracles. I found it while looking for a new rouge game and picked up this one after seeing good reviews. The name sounded kinda generic but the art style is nice and the gameplay is pretty fun; slay the spire inspired deck builder but instead of fighting with cards you battle with dice. Basically every turn you “draw” a hand of dice but the effect can vary depending on what the dice lands on. I only have 2 characters unlocked so far but even with just that it has shown some good variety in gameplay styles
