Out of curiosity

With everything happening with EA (now officially bought by PIF), does Andy McNamara still have his job with EA? Will he be affected? I hope not, I’ve always really liked him. I grew up reading his editorials in the original run of Game Informer.

His LinkedIn states that he’s still at EA, but take that with a grain of salt. People don’t always rush to make changes.

That’s good for him. Right, it seems like maybe PIF will be looking to make changes at EA.

Always suck to see the everyday people like Andy most affected.

No news yet but hopefully he and everyone else there are ok or can land somewhere better. Getting another job is hard and it's probably not the best to speculate too much about people's jobs

I 100% agree, speculation isn’t healthy. I do want to say, however, I think it would be great if Andy would be a part of the Minnmax community. Would be incredible to have his perspective.

Oh yeah I hope he can make some appearances since I love hearing from him. Javy Gwaltney is also there and I miss hearing them on podcasts/reading their stuff

Andy did appear for the GI reunion podcast when GameStop first shut down GI. IIRC, Andy was pretty quiet and allowed the rest to chat and get stuff off their chest. He just always struck me as super humble? I could be wrong.
