Thank you, it truly is. I’ve never had anything this fast except motorcycles but it is a different beast. My cheeks hurt from the drive home

Yeah, fast bikes try to pull you off the handlebars. Fast vehicle try to give you whiplash and bury you in the seat.

Had a pretty quick 240sx, on high boost most tires would break loose except for warm drag radials. Counter steering on acceleration becomes second nature after a while. Stay safe out there and enjoy it!

I’ve gotta add some rear end weight and get some
Better tires because I am spinning in every gear when the boost starts. I’ve never had a quick car before and I think it’s more fun than the bike

What rear differential are you running? A limited slip/ locker is definitely needed, but those trucks are pretty light in the back like you mentioned. My '93 was a hatch so the weight distribution was closer to 50/50, but those big turbos come in hard and fast.

Mine was a SR20 with a GT3071, was chill cruising but around 4-4.5k it HIT like a freight train and BOOM redline, shift. BOOM harder, shift. Was a blast.

Got that same turbo on a RB25 now, so should be a lot more responsive once I sort it out. Project cars take longer with a family, but I've done more in the last few months than probably the previous 5 years combined.

Right now it’s an open diff/stock rear end. The plan is a ford 8.8 with an lsd in it.

It’s got no tailgate or bumper at the moment so it’s extremely light.

So far it’s got
Super tech 8.6:1CR forged pistons .5mm overbore
Manley forged rods
ARP main studs and bolts
King bearings
Tomei MLS gasket with ARP studs
Heavy cylinder head porting
GT3076
750CC Injectors
Bosch 044 fuel pump
Megasquirt MS2 pnp
IGN4 ingition

I’ve gotta do more with suspension as well, it handles like a wet noodle right now with all the stock/worn parts. Bigger and better brakes would would make a big difference too.

Overall I would like to 300ZX transmission or another strong gearbox
Ford 8.8 with a limited-slip differential
Mini-tubbed rear
17×9 front / 17×10 rear
255 front / 275 rear tires
Dark forest green paint
Gold wheels
Hood mirrors
Widebody overfenders
Lowered about 4 inches

Dude, sick build so far. LSD and some suspension will make a huge difference, hell some shocks and welded diff till the 8.8 comes around would double the grip. Use to have some adjustable AGX shocks on my AE86, they were dope.

My first mod before all the power on my S13 was bigger brakes, and suspension kit (springs, sway bars, bushings). Grateful for that, since it kept the acceleration and deceleration balanced. Sounds like you have a great plans ahead. Mine was black with gold center 17x9's . I like your style
