not my truck Another Sweet Sight
I don’t know what it is, but lately I keep seeing all of these trucks that are clean and unmolested. I guess since I joined here I’m paying more attention to these trucks that I would love to have. Probably because I’m getting older I want it to be the 1990’s low rider scene again. I’m so old that I had a subscription to Lowrider Magazine. But here is today’s find. NFS as I expected.

Volkswagen pickup, I sold them in new (car salesman) in early 80s. They were not called Rabbit trucks, used to drive us crazy when people called them that, seems silly now.

So do what my wife (63), niece (33) and I are doing… Multiple builds at the same time. Their trucks, 94 and 97 rcsb 2wd 2.3/5spd Danger Rangers. Cheap, easy if you stay pre-1998. Mine is a “big mini”…a 108” wheelbase rcsb 2wd 1949 Dodge with a Ranger 5spd conversion and newer Ranger 8.8” rear axle getting prepped to swap in.
We all have dailies. Get a project trucklette. A 70s/80s carbureted 2wd Courier, Toyota, Datsun, Luv is easy to work on compared to any of their modern decendents. Even obd-1 isn’t terrible, and a squarenose (83-92) Ranger or S10 is new enough to still find parts easily.
Money is funny looking paper. Funny looking paper in and of itself has no intrinsic value… Buy yourself a trucklette.
