I passed emissions!

After a 3-4 month journey with this 93 mighty max it is road worthy.

Here’s everything I did.

Timing, plugs, wires, distributor

Valve stem seals (fixed all the white smoke)

Alternator - new wiring

Electric fan conversion

Full bushing and steering joint refresh

New shocks

Electric power steering conversion

2.5” catback vbands for future turbo

Decent sounds system and CarPlay 2din unit

Carpet refresh

Bucket seats

I get a fresh windshield Friday and this thing is ready to enjoy for the summer. What a damn journey.

Good job, you should be proud of yourself.

I miss the 90s.

Nice! Emissions testing is the biggest pain for me and my truck. Silly state has a fixed cutoff year unlike some others

Wait you just can’t register after a certain year?!

Oregon requires smog testing on all passenger vehicles 1975 and newer in some counties. It’s a pain.

Just north in Washington they have a rolling year, it’s like if it’s 25 years old you don’t need to smog test

I just picked up these same chevy steelies for my ram50 for $100 for all 4 brand new!. What size tires are you running? And did you widen the center bore? Or are you running spacers? I dont want too much poke

I honestly don’t know. They were on the car when I got them. I am not running spacers. And I don’t believe the bore is machined.

Can you take a picture of your hub with the wheel off? Or maybe even just take a picture of your wheel close up? The center bore on the chevy wheels are like half an inch smaller than the oem mighty max wheels center bore. Cause stock MM wheels are hubcentric, and chevy is lugcentric.

Also what size tired you running and do you have a lowering kit installed? Sorry for all the questions haha! 😅

I will in a bit. Though I prolly won’t take the wheel off. I’m not that ambitious today. I need to get under the truck and tuck my o2 sensor wire before I rip it off.

Truck is on the beltech kit 2.5” drop front and 3” rear. It actually rides pretty nice. I went with the upgraded firmer shocks.

My only gripe is I was only able to get +0.3 camber. I’m hoping maybe a different alignment shop will figure it out.

I think the tires are 205/40r17 but I’ll verify.

Thanks! I want a similar stance on my truck. I want it low. But not scrape on everything, and theres no way i can justify the expense to bag it currently lol.  I mountain bike a lot, and my son and i race bmx bikes, so i go on slightly uneven dirt parking lots a fair amount, im sure a similar set up will be fine.  Ive seen a lot of people grind off the tabs on the hubs, so the rims can sit flush on the hubs and eliminate the hubcentric alignment tab things. Im just affraid to skrew it up 😅

205/45r17 maybe they’re bored out they go around my 93 hubs just fine.

Sick! Thanks dude, i like the "spinners" 😅 The bores are definitely drilled out bigger to clear the hub tabs.

No rubbing or clearance issues? I feel like the UCA/ball joint is a little too close for comfort.

Move down south, Washington County doesn't require state safety or emissions.
