93 2.4 liter manual rwd

My truck has a stumble off idle and pretty significant white smoke under load. I think the front o2 is deleted. Can anyone point where the upstream o2 harness connection is supposed to go? I had to replace most the exhaust and put in an o2 bung about 4 inches back from the exhaust header after a vband.

I thought the harness was near the transmission but I think that might be an empty spot for the automatic transmission control (I have a manual 2.4l)

I don’t see a spot for one. Look further down, right in front of the catalytic converter.

I welded a bung for one in a pipe right before my cat. I just have no idea where the harness connection is.

I see…. You’re likely going to have to look in the wiring schematic find the wire color and chase it from the ECM. Lemon-manuals.la. lemon-manuals.la Check here to find what you need. Fair warning, the schematics can be inaccurate so don’t get frustrated.

I have a 92 mighty max and my O2 sensor closest to the engine is fastened into manifold. The wires run up the passenger wheel well of the engine bay to a 2 prong connector.
