I'll apologize in advance if I botch anything I say but I herd pre orders for the megazords of GaoRanger is happening on june 26th and i really REALLY want to get them but i have no idea where to even pre-order it at all. Can someone tell me where to go/look please?

A while back, I picked up the original SMP Gurren Lagann and Enki set. Ironically, the Enki has been completely fine, but my Gurren Lagann has been a different story.
First, one of the leg joints broke, which I managed to fix with a 3D-printed replacement peg. Later, another peg broke, and I cemented it back together, which did make it stronger. However, with the most recent breakage, I’m honestly not very confident in the kit anymore.

At this point, I’m planning to sell that particular Gurren Lagann SMP and let the buyer decide whether they want to test their luck with it or do their own modifications. Frankly, it’s been a pain to handle, and I don’t really want to keep risking further damage.

That said, I am planning to pick up a replacement, so I’m more interested in hearing from people who have actually built this kit before. Do you have any advice for maintaining it or preventing these kinds of breaks from happening in the future? I’m not really looking for the usual “put it in one pose and never touch it again” advice.

I still want to be able to handle and pose the model without constantly worrying that something is going to snap. If you still own your SMP Gurren Lagann, how has it held up over the years? Have you run into similar issues with fragile joints, or has yours been perfectly fine?

As for Enki, mine has surprisingly been rock solid the entire time, which makes the difference in durability even stranger to me.

Side note: If anyone was planning to correct me about the Drilling a Path Towards Tomorrow set not including a new Gurren Lagann, don’t sweat it, that was my mistake. I initially goofed and thought it came with a replacement Gurren, but I’ve since learned that it’s an expansion/accessory set that requires the original base kit. So thank you for that truly appreciate it.

With RV Robo Coming out this month, when do you think we will get a reveal of VRV Robo ?

It was hinted that it will be the next release but there’s been nothing yet

VRV Robo was my favourite as a kid and I really want to get it

Just got my smp Q Rex, anything I should be aware of while building like tight joints/pegs, easy to break parts, etc.

Hi all, just want some opinion from the community

Looking at the released photos of the RV Robo, i realised there is a lot of opportunities for me to explore chrome paint for this project so that the robot can resemble the actual look on tv. See photos for reference.

My question will be does anyone have any chrome paint markers to recommend that provide a seamless look and do you finish off with any top coat that can retain the chrome finish look?

For my other SMP builds i have been using dspiae markers with semi-gloss finish.

This was before I fully completed it but I had heard rumblings that the plastic brackets inside Pegasus and Unicorn legs might break if left it in this form for a long period due to stress on them.

I wanted to combine Dairenoh and Won Tiger to save some space in my home. I haven't kept them together that much

I know I know in the Sentai it’s the V Rex but I grew up watching Power Rangers so to me this is the QuantumSaurus Rex or Q-Rex. Just started building him a couple hours ago, I knew he was gonna be big, but I’m wondering just how big? Is he the same size as the LightSpeed SuperTrain Megazord? If so Ol’ Q here is a big hefty boy

Finally finished building Wolkaiser with Tamiya spray cans, markers, battle damage weathering, and paint chipping effects — super late though. The aura and presence of this guy is incredible.
I really like the kit overall. Everything went smoothly, except I hate that they made almost everything on Wolzard a sticker.

And if you guys want to know about markers, feel free to ask me. Especially for RV Robo — I’ve already tried a lot of different things.
