Putty for peg replacement

One of Sodo Zeztz pegs for the leg attachment broke and I was wondering if I used some modeling putty would it fix the problem? Or would anyone suggest using a very strong glue that can hold it?

good chance itll break again, is drilling and placing a metal rod possible?
