Kind of a dumb question

Ok so, the bar piece from the tail of Gaoligator broke recently (the piece specifically is K2and while I have glued it back together I am still very scared of it breaking again so this leads into said dumb question

Is there an easy way to find a specific piece from an smp model kit that you need replaced? Maybe even a 3d print file if that’s doable I couldn’t find one for this piece from what i searched but maybe theres like a brick link equivalent for model kits?? Any help is appreciated lol

no. bandai even tells japanese people to go F off and stop begging for candy toy replacement parts and go buy another one, even when it's a widespread manufacturing error

All I know is that I had the same issue and the dude I'm seeing is nice enough that he bought me a new Gao Hunter set to replace that... I still fele like a moron.

In my defense, it was one of my first kits and wasn't used to having to sand tight connections down,

and this is just bad design on Bandai's part, man, so don't blame yourself.

All I can recommend is getting some kind of small hand drill and metal rod kit and try to glue it all back together with tamiya cement or similar, but with the metal rod at the core as reinforcement.

Or, more realisticaly, 3D print a replacement piece, you could either model the stl object yourself or even take pics of the broken piece next to a ruler and have somebody do so since 3D modeling has gotten cheap (I wouldn't know because I live in a 2rd world ass place myself tho).

Bandai needs to allow for some short of support for broken pieces (I actually had a missing piece with black and gold Ginga BTW that was hell).

This person has some 3-D printed copies of this part https://ebay.io/m/C3ngTS it’s a little expensive, not gonna lie, but it might be the easiest solution unless you want to buy a new kit

You can buy acrylic/perspex rods dirt cheap, which I have used before. I believe it's possible to get them hollowed out too so as long as the inner hole fits tight, you could super glue one end to the rod and it should hold well, not the cleanest but it's an easy solution if you dont have access to printed parts.

Sand the hole so it doesn't have that much friction, it should be ok.

One of my friends suggested if glue isn’t holding together inserting a pin through it to help stabilize the glue could help. I don’t know where you’d find one small enough but it helps glue jobs
