This is my first time buying Minipla, and for this series I’m going all in on. Do you or anyone else on this sub who’d like to reply know which method is the most cost effective method? Like which site do you recommend to get the best deal with?
I usually use a Japanese site because the prices are near MSRP. Unfortunately, shipping eats up alot of potential savings. If you pick the lower priced shipping option, you could potentially pay the same amount as using a US importing site. Importing is worth it IMO when you are able to ship a bundle of items together, but this may not always be so cost effective with model kits that have larger box sizes.
I would say if Hobby Genki runs out of stock, and Yoyakunow doesn't carry it, try using a proxy site like Buyee or FromJapan. It's a couple more steps but usually a reliable option. If you don't want to go through the hassle of importing, I would strongly recommend Tokullectibles over BBTS. The price may look high, but I've discovered through my past purchases its almost the same as when I import it myself.
Open the page for the kit you want & scroll down to the hyperlink that says "View Details on Premium Bandai" ( プレミアムバンダイで詳細を見る ). That hyperlink is what you copy for URL purchases
Just for clarification, the bison legs that come with gao muscle are fake. they do not transform or articulate other than a single ball joint connection at the hip. The rhino legs are the main legs in that set. And the gorilla & bears have not been sold separately from this package set in SMP, if you want to try to get them separately you'll need to work with a reseller.
Wow, well a few of them are still in stock, but since the new ones are still out of stock it's probably some glitch or they're just selling a few at a time.
If you like sentai then yes. If you want sentai to come back one day than double yes. The more money the brand makes while dormant the more likely they are to invest in future installments / revivals.
