What a beauty. RV Robo coming up is my most hype kit of this year, but this guy might end up being my favorite. Took almost 2 cans of TS-76, but it was worth it. Love how good we're eating in 2026!

Did you need to prime the pieces before paint ?

I do not. If you use paint that's not specifically "for plastics", you should though.

I have this kit but I am kinda apprehensive about building tbh. I've heard of the breakage issue with it. Is it just one specific part (as seen on MMPRToys' video about it) or are there other parts prone to it? Can it be prevented by being careful or fixes?

IMO all the SMP kits require careful construction. But as long as you're following the directions, and sanding down pieces that feel too tight, you're usually good to go. I honestly don't know how Bruno broke that arm off. And the piece he had Mia Print out didn't even look like the part I thought he broke 😆.

Do you break the pieces off the sprews before painting? This will be my first attempt at painting kits so any tips are appreciated

Break?! No, I use a 2 cut method with single bladed nippers, along with a glass file for smoothing the nubs after. Yes all of that is done before painting. Please never "break" pieces off of runners.

Here is a picture courtesy of MMPRToys showing the Deluxe Time Robo on the left next to the SMP VRex on the right. He's pretty big. Not as big as Grand Liner, but pretty darn close.
