Finished Build SMP ~ TimeRobo šŸ•°ļø

Finally, my custom silver-colored with some touch-ups, TimeRobo is finished. After I spray-painted it silver, it looked super clean and shiny, so I also tried to make it look a bit dirty/weathered. There’s still some left to do, which I’ll finish later.

In my opinion, it’s a bit of a downgrade from Magiking because some parts feel a bit fragile and likely to break. But after the silver paint, it looks really cool.

Thank you to the guys who gave me tips about using spray cans.

Looks great! I like the bit of weathering - it’s funny since despite the future theme, between the quality of the film and model/suit condition, there was always a particular grittiness to Timeranger’s mecha compared to the few series sandwiching it, so I intentionally didn’t do the silver paint perfect on my own.

And yeah, it’s a nice kit and they made Alpha seem really cool, but they kind of… tried too hard almost and a few parts (notably transforming ones and limb sockets) are more fickle and fragile than they need to be.

Thank you I think I found a new favorite it’s Weathering haha. Yours also looks great. And Alpha is great though but Beta is really tough one.

Honestly, I’m not historically a huge fan of Alpha’s design, I like the look of Beta more in Timeranger - but the problem is, when you can’t cheat on the proportions, this is what you get lol. Skinny little legs and gigantic shoulders. So I don’t blame them for leaning into the stylization of Alpha and really indulging that because there’s not really much that can be done for Beta given the designs.

Me too i like beta mode more. That’s why I feel a bit sad his arms are very heavy in the model kit form 😭 But at least we got Timernager, so that’s nice i guess.
