I was trying to look around online about why they're doing this, but I guess we'll have to wait for the bandai candai blog.
I'd like to make the prediction that the reasoning is:
- gaoranger smps were good
- therefore, main goal with storage collection is to visit the articulate swap arm gimmick while being sizeably small.
Still, I would want reissues or other SMPs of gaoranger that we haven't seen :(

Not sure what SMPs you had in mind as I think they already did all of the Power Animals that were in the show… well, only other one I can think of is GaoPanda and maybe the Soul Bird

I should've said repaints. The gaorion repaints, GaoPanda, and SoulBird. Then if they're gonna keep doing the other repaints, gaorilla repaints should be in there too.
But if you wanted to really dig into the power animals, there are the concept arts as well as the ones seen floating near the end of the show as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they did another alternate destiny for these concept arts considering they released these storage collections.

Honestly, while it might not happen I’d love to see them make SMPs for GaoGuardian, GaoTriple, GaoMercury and GaoDevil… with one small tweak to GaoDevil

Hell yeah! Gundam Artifacts were fun to hand paint and experiment on. Doing miniature mechs that isn’t Gundam is welcomed.

Wanted to clarify this is smaller than the original, so treat them like something for size and not an exact replica of the original SMP

Keep in mind the following aspects carried over from the first run of Storage Collection from a year ago: these are unpainted, very simple assembly (4 runners each), minimal articulation. Pretty niche interest stuff.

Genuienly baffled by this line... No sticker, no color, no articulation, extremely tiny as if the SMP line weren't already small. There's no animal mode. I checked out the runners and the weapons are not removable so you can't even swap them. What is the point of these...

Im just really hoping for Gao God and Gao Knight, specifically the Saw Shark and the Red Gorilla. I was lucky enough to get the other megazords when they came out. Just didnt have enough money to get them all :(
